When we think about carbohydrates, we immediately picture sugar, candy, warm bread fresh out of the oven. That comforting, almost childlike taste, the kind that feels good in the moment, before guilt sets in.
Because for years, we've been bombarded with the idea that carbs make you gain weight. That if you want to lose weight, you have to avoid them.
And how could you think otherwise? Even in the fitness world, they're often blamed as the culprit. Maybe you've already been told to cut them out to lose fat or break through your weight loss plateau. So you did it. You tried cutting out sugar, reducing bread, pasta, sometimes even fruit. The first few pounds came off, you felt proud [...] then everything stalled. Fatigue showed up, frustration too. And despite all your efforts, your body stopped changing.
So you told yourself you were the problem. That you lacked discipline, or that your metabolism was working against you. You compensated with more protein, more training, more strictness. But nothing worked: your energy dropped, and so did your motivation.
What if, in reality, it wasn't you that needed questioning, but your strategy? Because carbs are not your enemy. Far from it. When used well, they're one of your best allies for losing fat, firming up your body, and above all, getting your energy back.

When people talk about carbohydrates, many think of sugar, meaning refined sugar (white sugar), the kind you put in your coffee or find in the cakes you love. But that sugar is just one form of carbohydrate among many others.
Carbohydrates, along with protein and fats, are one of the three major nutrient families. These major nutrient families are called macronutrients. These macronutrients are essential for your body to function properly. As for carbohydrates, their main role is to provide your body with energy.
Carbohydrates are divided into two categories: simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates.
Not all carbs are the same. Some are like sparks: they ignite quickly, give you an immediate boost, then burn out almost just as fast. Others, on the contrary, are like thick logs: they burn slowly, for a long time, and keep your energy stable for hours.
The first are simple carbohydrates. Small molecules, light, easy to absorb. They pass into your bloodstream almost instantly, giving you that burst of energy you feel after a ripe piece of fruit or a square of chocolate. Fructose, found in fruit and honey. Glucose, the natural sugar in your blood and in some grains. Sucrose, your table sugar. And lactose, the sugar in milk. They wake up your energy quickly, but they never keep you full for long.
The second are complex carbohydrates. Their structure is denser, more elaborate. Your body has to break them down piece by piece before it can use them, which makes their energy more gradual and more stable. These are the carbs that support your endurance. You find them in rice, pasta, oats, legumes, potatoes, in short, in the foods that actually keep you full. Starch, glycogen, and fiber are part of this group.
That's also why athletes are often told to eat a big plate of pasta before training. The intention isn't wrong, but reality is a bit more subtle: if your stores are already full, that extra intake won't give you anything more, except maybe a heavy stomach before you put on your shoes.
It's pretty simple: sugar belongs to the family of simple carbohydrates, which taste sweet, like glucose, fructose, or sucrose, which we mentioned just above. This is the sugar you find naturally in fruit, and artificially in candy and cakes, for example.

Complex carbohydrates, like the fiber found in whole starches for example, are not sugars. They are still carbohydrates, though. So pasta is indeed high in carbohydrates, but low in sugars.

So, all sugars are carbohydrates, but not all carbohydrates are sugars.
By the way, you've probably already heard of slow sugars and fast sugars. You won't hear us talk about them in this article, or in any of our content. The reason is simple: those labels are misleading, they don't reflect reality.
For a long time, we were taught to distinguish between slow sugars and fast sugars, as if everything came down to the nature of the carbohydrate itself. Simple or complex, white or brown, slow or fast. In reality, things are much more nuanced.
Your body is not a machine that classifies foods based on a label. Carbohydrate absorption depends on a multitude of factors: the presence of fiber, fats, protein, the degree of cooking, or even the texture of what you eat. A food that's been pureed, for example, releases its glucose much faster than a crunchy food that's high in fiber.
That's what explains this paradox: plain mashed potatoes, even though they're high in complex carbohydrates, raise your blood sugar much faster than an apple, even though it's made up of simple carbohydrates. The body doesn't think in categories, it reacts to how the food is prepared, combined, and digested.
That's why the ideas of slow sugars and fast sugars were replaced by the concept of the glycemic index. A more precise concept, meant to reflect how quickly glucose enters the bloodstream. But even this tool, practical as it may be, is still flawed.
The glycemic index is a brilliant idea on paper [...] but a bit disconnected from real life. It relies on very artificial lab conditions: a person is given 50 g of pure carbohydrates, fasted, and then researchers observe how quickly their blood sugar rises. In other words, it measures the body's response to an isolated dose of sugar, outside of any real context. Needless to say, it has nothing to do with the reality of a full meal made up of fiber, protein, and fats.
Nobody sits down to dinner with a plate of sugar cubes [we agree on that].
The glycemic index varies enormously from one person to another: your microbiome, your activity level, your muscle mass, your metabolism, or even how a food is cooked can change everything. Hot mashed potatoes won't trigger the same response as a cold potato.
GI also has another limitation: it doesn't take the amount consumed into account. A carrot, for example, has a high glycemic index, but its glycemic load remains low, simply because it contains very few total carbohydrates. So eating one won't spike your blood sugar the way a slice of cake would.
Finally, GI says nothing about hormonal or satiety effects. It measures only one thing: how quickly blood sugar rises. It reflects neither the insulin response, nor satiety, nor the real metabolic impact.
It's like judging a movie based on a single scene: you miss the whole story.
So if the glycemic index isn't the perfect compass, what about refined sugars, the ones blamed for everything?
We hear everywhere that sugar is public enemy number one for health and weight loss. It's demonized, banned, blamed for every problem. And yet, it's not that simple.
Refined sugars, like white sugar, are not poisons. They are simply processed sugars, purified, bleached, stripped of most of their micronutrients. They come from sugar beets or sugar cane, and this refining process makes them very easy to absorb.
The result: your body absorbs them quickly, which gives you immediate energy... but nothing else. No more fiber, no more vitamins, no more minerals, just empty calories. That's why they're often singled out.
Not because they're bad in themselves, but because they don't provide anything useful. And since they're found in most ultra-processed foods, sodas, pastries, candy bars, industrial sauces, they add up quickly without you even realizing it.
But the real problem doesn't come from refining.
It comes from the context. Eating a little white sugar in a meal rich in fiber and protein has nothing to do with drinking it in a soda on an empty stomach. In the first case, your body handles it very well. In the second, your blood sugar spikes, your energy crashes afterward, and you crave sugar again.
So sugar itself isn't what should be blamed, but excess, imbalance, and sedentary living, which amplify its effects. Sugar is not a poison, it's a matter of dosage and context.
Consumed in moderation, as part of a varied diet, it compromises neither your health nor your physical progress. It even becomes an ally when you know how to use it.
And that's exactly what we're going to look at now. Because behind the word sugar, there's a small, discreet but essential molecule: glucose. The one that fuels your brain, your muscles, and your day-to-day energy.
Carbohydrates play an essential role for your body, providing it with energy quickly and sustainably so it can function properly. That's their purpose. It makes them your body's favorite energy source, ahead of fats and protein.
But concretely, how does your body use the carbohydrates it takes in?
As soon as you eat carbohydrates, your body gets to work. It patiently breaks them down, piece by piece, until it gets a small molecule: glucose. That's the real fuel of your body. It immediately enters your bloodstream, ready to be used.
Part of this glucose goes to fuel your brain, which depends on it completely, your muscles, your heart, your organs. The rest is carefully stored as glycogen in the liver and muscles, like an emergency reserve. Your body leaves nothing to chance, it always keeps a margin, just in case.
But this mechanism, ingenious as it is, has a downside.
When you give your body more energy than it uses, your body, faithful to its survival instinct, turns the excess into fat. Not to punish you, but to protect you. It's its way of ensuring your survival, just as it did for millions of years, long before we had full refrigerators and home delivery.
That's where everything starts to make sense.
Trying to lose fat isn't about going to war with your body, it's simply about teaching it to draw from what it has stored away. To do that, you need to create a slight energy shortage, what we call a caloric deficit. By consuming a little less than it expends, your body is forced to release its reserves.
To understand this process, let's look at what actually happens.
When your body lacks energy, between meals, during training, or in a fat loss phase, it sends out warning signals. Adrenaline, glucagon, and cortisol then order fat cells to open their vaults. They release fatty acids, which will be turned into energy in the muscles and liver, and glycerol, which the liver will recycle into glucose, especially to feed your brain. This chemical ballet, called lipolysis, happens silently, every day, every night.
You breathe, you move, you live thanks to this age-old choreography.
What you store when you eat, you release when your body needs it. It's a perfect cycle, a dialogue between abundance and shortage, the very one we learn to master when we want to transform our bodies.


These transformations illustrate one simple thing: understanding physiology means taking back control.
But what happens when this glucose reserve runs low for too long? Your body then has no choice but to make it itself from other energy sources, especially protein. This process, called gluconeogenesis, allows it to keep functioning, but at the expense of your body composition. That's what we'll look at in the next section.
By now, you've got it: Carbohydrates = Glucose = Energy = A body that functions properly. We call that the GGEC principle.
And naturally, if you don't eat enough carbohydrates, you put your body in a difficult situation. First, because it no longer has the fuel it needs to keep the machine running. Then, because it has to go look for energy elsewhere, sometimes in places you'd rather it didn't touch.
When your carbohydrate intake drops too low, your whole body slows down. You feel tired, you struggle to focus, your motivation starts to fade, and your performance drops. And when motivation goes, your workouts often go with it. You train less, you progress less, and you end up doubting yourself. It's a vicious cycle, and one worth avoiding.
Your brain is a real energy sink. On its own, it uses nearly 20% of the glucose available in your body. And unlike your muscles, it can't use fat as a direct energy source.
That's why a sufficient carbohydrate intake is essential for your focus, mental clarity, and emotional stability. When your brain slows down, your mindset collapses, and your training suffers.
During effort, your muscles first draw from circulating glucose, then from their glycogen stores, the energy they stored after your meals.
But if you don't eat enough carbohydrates, those stores run out quickly. Your brain then sends you warning signals: fatigue, lower power output, the urge to give up.
And what about recovery?
That depends on carbohydrates too. After a workout, they're what replenish your glycogen stores, supporting muscle recovery, progress, and your next performance. Without them, your training becomes less effective.
When your body lacks carbohydrates, it falls back on protein to produce glucose: that's gluconeogenesis.
The problem is, that's the protein you should be using to rebuild your muscles.
Every workout creates micro-tears in muscle fibers. Protein is used to repair them and make them stronger. If your body diverts it to make energy, you directly slow down your muscle development.
The result: you train, but you don't build muscle. You put in the effort, but you don't progress in proportion to your efforts.
By consuming the right amounts of carbohydrates, protein, and fats, Gina and Stéphanie gave themselves the best possible chance of succeeding in their physical transformation.

Not everything was perfect. Sometimes, I didn’t follow the program, and Jérémy helped me let go of the guilt. How can I describe the incredible life-changing experience of meeting Jérémy, a coach who is educational, kind, and always listening?

I’ve never exactly been naturally slim, but I have to admit I really went off track in recent years, gaining 20 kg in 5 years without managing to turn things around.
Despite my various attempts, cardio, diet support, EMS electrostimulation classes, and even "good resolutions", none of them worked.

I reached out to Jérémy after gaining weight following a thyroidectomy, combined with the onset of menopause. I’ve never exactly been naturally slim, but I have to admit I really went off track in recent years, gaining 20 kg in 5 years without managing to turn things around.
Despite my various attempts, cardio, diet support, EMS electrostimulation classes, and even "good resolutions", none of them worked.
So in the end, I had more or less resigned myself and accepted it: it was too late to change, and I would just live with the consequences of letting myself go for the rest of my life, dissatisfied...

I’m 51, and age was starting to take its toll, literally. I had gained around 12 kilos in 10 years, and I no longer liked my body shape at all. My love handles and my posture were starting to make me look like an old woman. I also felt soft, and I was starting to get aches and pains here and there. I couldn’t stand that "puffy" side of myself anymore. I found Jérémy online by searching for “toned woman 50 years old.” I hesitated, there are so many scams on the internet. I looked through his site carefully, then I applied for the initial consultation, which ended up reassuring me, and I decided to go for it with him.
I don’t regret it. It’s now been 8 months since I started the program, I’ve lost 10 kg, and my posture and muscle tone have already changed a lot. I stand straighter, my thighs are more streamlined, my arms are less “bat-wing,” and I have, for the first time in my life, a more defined waist. The cherry on top is that all of this happened without loose skin. I had already experienced major loose skin after a Weight Watchers diet that made me lose 20 kg after my 4 pregnancies. I like Jérémy’s program because it is deeply grounded in reality, both for nutrition and training. Unlike Weight Watchers, which made me regain weight when they switched from ProPoints to zero-point foods, unlimited and not to be counted, with Jérémy’s program you understand that in nutrition, nothing is free or unlimited. My problem was that I was eating too much of otherwise balanced foods. Weighing my food really made me aware of what I was eating. The macro-based approach requires a bit of training beforehand, fully provided in the program, but it gives you a level of knowledge and control over food that I had never had before, as someone who has always struggled to estimate how much I eat.
I also like the training side of the program. Jérémy adapts to the time you have, in my case, not much, and he promotes gentle strength training. I’ve had some soreness, but never any injuries, unlike with other programs I tried before. Right now, I can do 4 push-ups in a row, whereas doing even one push-up was impossible at the start of the program.
Doing “1% better every day” is the program’s mantra. It really suits me, because I wouldn’t have the time to do more, or I’d do it for a few days and then give up. This small-steps approach has allowed me to make progress gently, without pain, but effectively.
Kindness and tolerance for failure are things I’ve rarely known in my life journey. Jérémy’s positive and consistently kind attitude helps me be more like that with myself too.

Jérémy literally changed my life, and I wish I had met him sooner. Since the birth of my son in 2019, I had worked on improving my eating habits and had lost weight, but after 5 years, several issues came up: I had regained weight, even though I was doing quite a bit of training, I felt like I was eating healthy but was still carrying too much body fat for my liking. I was no longer enjoying cooking, and it had become automatic. Since my teenage years, I had always been more or less overweight. Overweight, I discovered Jérémy Loreau online. The program came across as very legit and, above all, its philosophy matched what I had been looking for for a long time. No more diets that guarantee yo-yo weight regain once the goal is reached, no more forbidden foods, no more cardio workouts that I hate... At last, here is THE solution to get the body you want. I came across Jérémy’s website by chance, and after watching a lot of his videos/testimonials, I jumped into the adventure! And honestly, I absolutely do not regret it! I was a complete beginner when it came to training, and I was afraid I’d suffer and get discouraged after 3 weeks. In the end, with him, you learn that workouts are not synonymous with suffering (still, expect to be sore from time to time, let’s not exaggerate either 😆), but the program is tailored and completely adaptable (he is always there to guide you and welcome all your emotions/doubts/drops in motivation....) Beyond the physical training, what really awaits you is a nutrition wake-up call, you become aware of what’s on your plate and preconceived ideas are shattered! It’s not easy to find serious people who truly get results, and honestly I’m blown away by the transformations they’ve achieved!! And it’s not hype! I’ve personally seen radical changes in just 1 month, without feeling like I was dealing with very difficult constraints. The concept is brilliant: 1/ they teach you: foods, nutrients, calories, rhythms, metabolisms, understanding your scale, your measurements, how your body changes when you bring training into the picture. No!!! losing weight is not impossible, even after 40, without having been athletic. At first, I didn't believe it. Then, since Jérémy is basically a specialist for women when it comes to weight loss and getting back in shape... My wife gave it a try, she got results, so the lousy athlete that I am got into it too.... Over 2m tall and over 150kg... a sports and food delinquent 🤣 It's not because you're bad at sports or not athletic that nothing is possible... Proof from me, in 2 months, around 8 kg, soon 9, have been lost... How??? Well, quite simply by questioning yourself again, relearning nutrition, and balancing things out just like a household budget or financial statement, calorie intake, nutritional intake and quality, energy expenditure and training expenditure, while taking back control of your body and muscles. Jérémy doesn't judge anyone, he only likes people who are committed and genuinely want to change. HE DOESN'T FORBID YOU FROM EATING ANYTHING, no frustration... Just rebalancing, and at worst, to convince yourself... What would you prefer, a medical diet like for diabetes, cholesterol... (where you're forbidden from eating fat and sugar) Or keep eating everything, but in measured and controlled amounts??? Yes, Jérémy does NOT judge you, if you're struggling, doubting, having a rough moment.... Jérémy is there for you and knows how to talk to you... No problem, there's also a home program. The only catch.... A change, a big change, doesn't happen in 2 days and without commitment.... I joined Jérémy Loreau's group in mid-February 2024. It all started with an internet search to find THE coach who could meet my expectations. After several conversations with him, I was convinced by the method he offered. It was a period in my life when change had become inevitable. The year 2023 was particularly overwhelming, a complicated relationship, a lot of self-questioning, feeling disgusted with my body, etc. June 2023 was the first step in that change I wanted. After giving birth to twins in 2019, and despite exercising, my skin had not gone back into place, and I had diastasis recti. So I chose to have a tummy tuck. Even after that, I still didn't feel aligned with my body, the body that carries my life. Since joining Jérémy Loreau's program, I understood just how poorly I had been eating. It’s been 7 months since I started coaching sessions with Jeremy, whom I call the Magician, but in reality he’s the scientist. I got in touch with Jérémy 3 months ago, after a wake-up moment born out of frustration: I could no longer fit into my ski suit. The weight gain had happened quite insidiously, but the ski suit you only pull out every 3 years doesn't lie! I thought I was eating healthy, when in reality I was eating too much fat. So this morning is the first day of the rest of my life! And before closing this chapter of my life with Jérémy, I wanted to pay him a warm tribute by sharing my experience. Here is my sincere story: When I first came across Jérémy, I was feeling pretty resigned and sad because I saw myself as unattractive and not very desirable. I had fairly classic women's issues related to my age (57 years old), menopause had been through there, I had no libido left, I no longer wanted to be attractive, and I found my body unattractive enough that I no longer dared go looking for a man... I had fallen into a vicious circle, safely hidden behind the dogmas too easily spread by too many charlatans, by conversations with girlfriends, doctors, who make you believe that because you're menopausal, your metabolism has slowed down, that that's why you can't lose weight, that it's harder, that you need to eat more of this, less of that, not eat sugar after 5 p.m., cut out salt, or starches and bread, or eat only protein, skip a meal, or whatever else... Nonsense!! And then, by pure chance, while looking for a program suited to women who are "a little more mature," I came across Jérémy's method and was immediately intrigued by all those glowing testimonials and those spectacular body transformation photos. At first I couldn't believe my eyes, I looked closely at the photos to check they hadn't been photoshopped! And I was thinking... just another scam, nothing new, it's all just marketing, etc. After a few days, I contacted him. A first appointment with the maestro, his kindness, his listening, the right balance of distance and closeness with me, and above all the accuracy of what he said completely won me over. Being very skeptical and a bit of a hypochondriac, I also needed a method that would reassure me, and right away, starting with the training modules unlocked all my fears. I should add that the prices are really competitive, especially compared with various other methods like Naturhouse, WW, etc. And also that there are no nutritional supplements to take (unless you want to include more protein, but that remains a choice), and certainly no medication, chemicals, or other garbage..! Very quickly, I understood how to eat everything, I eat much better than before, much more variety, juggling filling, low-calorie foods to offset richer foods. I don't deprive myself of anything 😜 but I choose my little battles every day!! If I want a big hamburger, I'll eat a few fewer calories before or after, while always keeping protein in mind, and my body will quietly do the rest! I regularly have dinners with friends, no problem!! It's all about being consistent with your calorie control, which I'm starting to do more intuitively, and with the routine of weighing yourself every morning. Training alongside that is starting to reshape me... I don't push myself, I don't feel like it, so I go at my own pace... And here is the result: 8 kilos in 6 months, and maintaining it for 4 months now... my mood is sky-high, I've changed all my pants (I lost between 1 and 2 sizes), I bought myself much more glamorous clothes, little outfits for going out at night, and even some nice, sexy lingerie 😋!! I have more energy, more often that spark to go out for a drink or dinner... all my friends find me prettier, I get compliments... Jérémy has always been there to lift me up, the invisible friend, the one you make the effort to keep going for when you don't feel like doing it for yourself on some days... So much support, so many conversations, videos exchanged, always with great efficiency and great empathy. Live this experience, you won't regret either your time or your money. Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Lydie and I am 39 years old. I am a single mother and I have a 6-year-old daughter. I am naturally reserved, discreet, and determined, but Jérémy asked me to share my journey. We have been working together for almost 4 years and my physical transformation is not finished to this day. It is not easy for me to express myself like this, but I am taking the leap. I contacted Jérémy in August 2020 to be supported so I could feel better in my body and in my mind. At first, it was not easy to understand the process to put in place in my daily life because I was far from imagining that it would require so much effort, investment, and questioning of my eating habits and of myself. I followed the nutrition course, I started by sticking to the number of calories per day set by Jérémy (weighing food, writing down everything that goes into my mouth, physical activity...). After about 2 months, the results were there, but the bad habits came back and I did not dare talk to Jérémy about it, except that the coach knows very well when something is wrong. So I decided to talk to him, he reassured me, adapted the program, and gave me ideas to optimize things as much as possible in my daily life so that they would become long-term habits and not constraints. My difficulties in this journey were obviously putting nutrition in place, the frequency of my physical activity to get the expected results, but the hardest part for me was the psychological side due to my personal life. I had to open up to Jérémy so he could understand my situation and my past in order to know me better, that was not easy for me. At the beginning of 2021, I found myself in a difficult situation and in a state of mind where I wanted to give everything up, even though that is not in my nature. I found Jérémy's website by pure "chance." I was looking for a real body transformation, but beyond that, I was actually looking for a permanent lifestyle, in terms of food, sports, and daily rhythm, and all of it without frustration. I tried several fitness programs, the kind where the workouts were all laid out for you, with different recipes to help you lose weight in 1 month or 90 days, etc. Every time I reached the goal, I did lose weight, but then I gained it back again afterward, sometimes even more. Which was very frustrating... I'm someone with a sweet tooth, so I wanted to learn how to work with that so I wouldn't feel like I was sacrificing anything or dealing with daily frustration like with typical diets. Basically, eat the way I want, but know how to eat. Jérémy's method was a revolution for me. It's a method that breaks all the clichés, clichés about weight loss slowing down after 40, clichés that to maintain your weight you have to deprive yourself of certain things, clichés about cardio. A method without cardio. I'm still in the middle of the journey because I don't plan to stop here, but I've lost 20 kilos in a little over 3 months after 2 pregnancies. I think the success of this method starts with one of Jérémy's trainings: he explains how our body works, how it fluctuates, and therefore how the number on the scale, which may tend to drop sharply or on the contrary go up from one day to the next, needs to be analyzed through different factors. Once I hit my forties, I was convinced that weight gain and having a different body than I had in my youth was inevitable, because of the passing years, the biological clock..... Despite the fitness coaching I had, the image in the mirror wasn’t changing, and I couldn’t understand why. Especially since up until that famous “40,” I used to lose weight easily. I discovered Jeremy while browsing online. Before I came across Jérémy’s website, I had spent so much time trying to lose a few grams, looking through all kinds of websites to lose the belly fat I was gaining because of perimenopause. I really liked the fact that before starting anything at all, you first have to learn to eat differently, learn how the body works and burns fat, and learn how to train. All the advice being given was finally organized and made sense compared to everything I had read before. He broke down all the misconceptions I had. I found the sharing of knowledge incredible. I also love the training side of it, which suits me perfectly. I know I won’t have to spend too much time on it, I do everything at home, music blasting, and it works, it boosts me, and I can see my progress over time. I’m very proud to lift weights and say that I do strength training, at my own small level of course, but still ;-) I’m almost proud of my square shoulders and my arms, which used to make me self-conscious. I didn’t have much weight to lose (5), but I wanted to regain muscle and firmness, and above all a flat stomach. In short, I wanted to enjoy looking at myself in the mirror again. And that’s exactly what happened! At 51, I’ve finally found myself again. Honestly, I still can’t believe I have abs like this after 5 months, without doing ab workouts!! miracle ;-) and that I’ve lost all those cm around my hips. It’s now been four months since I started Jérémy’s program. In 4 months, a lot has changed in my mind, in my body... I’m truly grateful for all of it. Food: I’m really making progress. Before this program: breakfast, it was simple, my whole day’s calories went into it. Meals eaten in front of the computer. Dinner, as soon as I got home from work, I was always extremely, extremely hungry (I was eating a lot of sugary foods during the day), so I would jump on the Nutella jar with a tablespoon. Today I eat mindfully. I don’t eat quickly like I used to. I take my time. Since calories are precious and I’m a foodie, I savor my meals and above all I eat balanced, healthy meals. Yes, sometimes my brain still plays tricks on me and I eat and eat and eat... I need to fill myself up with whatever is around. I don’t control myself. But those moments are becoming more and more rare. At the beginning of the program, I was very afraid of being hungry. And there are days when I am hungry. I can eat 1.5kg of vegetables and still be hungry. I’ve made progress there too, because now I can analyze it. It seems to me that the days when I’m really very hungry and need to fill myself up are when I’m tired and/or feeling low. So that helps me understand how I work. But Jérémy is very clear about that. He says it’s okay, Cécile! If you’re hungry, you eat! We shouldn’t be hungry or frustrated. No food is forbidden. Our meals should simply remain a pleasure. We’re simply learning how to eat, without being afraid to go to a restaurant or go on vacation with all-you-can-eat buffets. Training: for context, I wasn’t doing any sport at all and I hated it (even a family mountain walk was hard, I had no strength in my legs, it made me sweat, I was out of breath, if anyone talked to me I would yell at them, basically I hated it 2000%) Now I do my workouts. The beginning was complicated for me, I didn’t even know how to use a resistance band 😂 so I watched the videos several times!!!! And little by little I surprised myself by opening my session for the day and saying to myself: oh cool, I have to do this exercise today, I really like it 🤩 Totally unbelievable. And I bought myself workout clothes, because like any non-athletic person, I didn’t even have that! Conclusion so far: -9kg. I’m starting a bulking phase to finish transforming my body. Without Jérémy, I would have been incapable of doing it. He is always kind. Never judges. Takes his time. Is patient. Goes at our pace. He isn’t a good coach, to me he’s the best coach 🩷 and above all, signing up for this program was the best decision I made in 2023. And with Jérémy, there’s also the tribe with all the champions. We motivate each other, support each other, share our ideas and discoveries... basically, for me a new life with a new body is starting at 47...

It is both very difficult and very easy to talk about Jeremy. There is so much to say, and you do not want to forget the essentials, what makes him unique! I had never been coached, especially not when it came to dieting! I am 60 years old and I have tried them all, Dukan, Weight Watchers, Chrononutrition, intermittent fasting, etc., with more or less success. Of course, some of them do work, for a while. I had regained a lot of weight, actually the weight from my old diets!, when I "came across" Jérémy's website. I was not looking for a coach, and especially not a fitness coach, so why did I come across him???? Fate, or you could call it pure luck! In 8 and a half months I learned 2 things, to lose weight you need to reduce your calorie intake (even though we are regularly told that counting calories is useless: well, we are being lied to) and if you want to transform your body, you need to build muscle, otherwise you will lose weight but your body composition will not change. You will be thinner, slimmer, but not very firm. And having both is AMAZING. And above all, I learned to take my time, to change the way I see a transformation, it happens in your mind, you have to accept not being perfect all the time, that you can give yourself time to reach your goal, and that if you have not reached it yet..... things will fall into place in due time, as long as you adopt new habits as a healthy person. Jeremy teaches us all that and much more, which is why it is hard to leave a review. His method is also about listening, listening to US, always finding a solution for us, being kind and motivating. Jeremy is a "gem", his program and his training in nutrition and physical transformation are so rich that if he published them, they would be a bestseller, and in several volumes!! I am extremely satisfied with the coach, Jérémy. I was previously with another coach, rigid and cold, who forced me to follow his program to the letter, without listening to the person or their lifestyle. With Jérémy, it’s the complete opposite. I discovered Jeremy 14 months ago, and it was a revelation. Jeremy is much more than a fitness coach. I’m 52, athletic, and I’ve always paid attention to my diet. Between 5 and 7 extra kilos, a lack of muscle tone, and all the self-questioning that comes with your fifties led me to start coaching sessions with Jeremy. His coaching is incredibly comprehensive: nutrition, eating disorders, strength training, menu suggestions, NEAT... and the Tribe... Over the past 14 months, I first lost the extra kilos, then even regained some, and now I’m in a body recomposition phase. It takes time, but it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve lost fat and gained muscle tone. I have never felt so good in my own skin. Jeremy’s program, which lets you train at home in 45 minutes to 1 hour, has been a real plus. I was able to fit this routine into my day. Yes, you have to push yourself to get up... nothing is easy, but you feel so good afterward. Weighing my food and counting my calories was a game changer, because before that I felt like I was eating a balanced diet, but I wasn’t in a caloric deficit, far from it! So no fat loss despite exercising. I eat more than before, and my body has transformed. Before meeting Jeremy, I had once again let myself be overwhelmed by the extra weight... Since my youth, the yo-yo effect was the only result I had managed to get because of pregnancies, but above all because of stress and the comfort food gave me, especially sweets. Jeremy helped me understand that you can enjoy eating without blowing up your calorie intake, that you're allowed, from time to time (without overdoing it, of course), to treat yourself if you get back to your good habits afterward (especially not with an all-or-nothing mindset). I’m very happy with the results I achieved working with Jérémy. He supported me patiently and without judgment for several months so I could get rid of my pain, my constant fatigue, and strengthen muscles I had never managed to build before working with Jérémy. Like many women, I contacted Jérémy because I no longer felt good in my body. I weighed myself every day, and if I went over 50 kg, I was capable of not eating all day. At the time, I was running a lot (3 to 4 runs/week) and eating very little. Despite all that, I didn't like the image I saw in the mirror. My goal was to become more toned and improve my relationship with food. Jérémy first taught me the right nutrition basics again, without deprivation and while still enjoying myself. I believe 5 stars are not enough. I had followed so many diets that only ended in failure. I felt so bad in my body and so uncomfortable in my own skin because of those nutritionists and dietitians who throw theory at you without caring about the rest. Jérémy is first and foremost an excellent coach who truly understands metabolism. I found him at the beginning of May while searching online for a coach. But that day, I never imagined I would find someone so effective. His program works, he is a great teacher, kind, attentive, and above all as available as he can be. If you're like me: overweight for 40 years. Repeated diets, and therefore frustration and guilt over the slightest slip-up. Gym coaches who make you believe you need to do intense fasted training to lose weight effectively. Nutrition doctors who just give you the same advice you can find on the internet. "Green vegetables, go ahead, eat as much as you want." Thanks doctor, now I feel so reassured knowing that. And also, you need to do a lot of cardio, it helps you lose weight, at least 1 hour every time. Oh really, but the coach at the gym also told me to do strength training. So what am I supposed to do then? The suffering of living in a body you don't love, and a feeling of fatalism and helplessness because it's been going on for 40 years despite your efforts and real motivation. Idiotic advice from people who think they know the secret: "you just need to eat less." Oh great, so if I stop eating completely I'll be slim in 3 months, right? Always those looks that make you feel guilty because you love food and you're a foodie. You have to eat a lot in the morning, less at lunch, and very little at night. Why? Because that's just how it is, don't try to understand, just obey if you want to succeed. Sugar at night makes you gain weight. Sugar is for the morning. Oh damn, because sometimes I like sharing drinks or a good dessert with friends. And since alcohol contains sugar, does that mean mojitos are only for breakfast? :) That doesn't work for me, in the morning I prefer coffee. Desserts are what make you gain weight. Oh really, so salad makes you lose weight? No. But am I stupid, or are all these people talking nonsense?
