  • “ Express diet: how to lose 10 kilos in 15 days? We tell you everything ”  (except that losing too fast opens the door to loose skin, eating disorders, insecurities, and even more guilt).

The communication pros play on your discomfort, and that’s really ugly.

They know you feel self-conscious because you’ve gained weight. After all, now you have a stable job, a career to build, children to raise, and a love life to live. So telling yourself that you’re going to get back into training and build muscle in 3 months, that would be amazing... if your days were 36 hours long.

Like one of our clients, Élise, you have every right to want a toned, athletic body you’ll be proud of no matter the time of year or everything you have to handle in a day.

In this article, through 6 Champions we coached over periods of 2 to 4 months, we’re going to share everything women need to know about the results they can achieve in 3 months of training. We’re going to look together at the results they achieved during their 3-month body transformation journeys.

What sport should you choose for 3 months of training?

If, like Alice, you’re wondering what sport to choose to succeed in your 3-month body transformation, strength training really is the perfect choice.

You don’t need any knowledge of strength training to get started, because we’re going to guide you just like we do with all our Champions. You can absolutely train from home. A gym is not mandatory to do 3 months of strength training. In fact, it all depends on you. We have clients who have never trained in a gym, some who only do that, and others who alternate between the two.

One of the advantages of strength training is that it allows you to sculpt your body according to the muscle groups you want to work on, without sacrificing your femininity. Contrary to popular belief, strength training won’t turn you into a masculine version of yourself, but rather into a stronger, more toned, and more confident version of yourself.

Alice had already done a lot of sports, but without ever getting a result as striking as the one she achieved while we were coaching her.

We’ll let her speak for herself:

That’s exactly what clients are looking for when they want us to guide them through a 3-month training program. Of course, training goes hand in hand with nutrition.

One thing you need to know: we’re allergic to diets built around 'without'. In fact, that’s just one more open door to food slipups and guilt. We know, that probably goes against what you’ve seen elsewhere, but we’re going to give you solid nutrition foundations so you can know and understand the calories you consume without ever feeling hungry.

Starving yourself is out of the question! We’ll come back to that later in this article.

How do you build muscle in 3 months?

When Laure took the step to ask us to guide her through her 3 months of training, she was angry with herself:

We reassured her by telling her that nothing was irreversible and that we were going to do the work together, both with nutrition and training. She was wondering whether a 3-month muscle transformation was really possible.

Just like for Laure, building muscle in 3 months is absolutely within your reach. It can be a very good way to awaken the champion sleeping inside you that we mentioned earlier. We know, from where you are in your life right now, it seems impossible. But tell yourself this:

And we’re going to take those steps together.

We’re going to guide you and explain how to build muscle in 3 months. We’ll be there to celebrate the wins with you, but also to answer your questions, your doubts, and help you get back up when you stumble.

Yes, we’d rather be honest with you, there will be moments when you slip up. That’s simply human. But once again, we’ll be there, we’ll talk about it, and we’ll give you the right push so you can get going again.

Throughout this whole process of transforming into a stronger and healthier version of yourself, it’s essential to focus on the type of training we prefer: strength training.

If you raised an eyebrow and thought, “ Me? strength training? Seriously? ”, we’re going to ask you to forget the preconceived ideas about strength training and fears like “I don’t want to look built like a man,” because that won’t happen. You and us, we’re going to do the same thing.  We’re going to build a 3-month strength training program that fits only you.

As for the pace of your workouts, no worries there either because 10 minutes of training a day is enough. And at the beginning, we’re going to start light with exercises you can do at home, without specific equipment, using everyday objects you never even imagined could be useful for the 3 months of training ahead of you.

There will be a before and after, both physically and mentally.

What exercises should you do to build muscle in 3 months?

In this section, we’re going to reveal the exercises that helped Laure get the toned, muscular body she wanted.

We’re taking you behind the scenes of her 3-month training.

When we created Laure’s tailored program, it was essential that she had exercises she could do at home. Based on Laure’s physique at that moment, as well as her goals, to get started, we chose these 3 exercises:

  • Couch Hip Thrust, to work the glutes, adductors (inner thighs), quadriceps, and core together ;
  • Single-Leg Glute Bridge, to activate the gluteus maximus and correct the strength imbalances she had between her left and right sides ;
  • Band Glute Kickback, a rear extension exercise for the triceps.

How to eat during your 3-month fitness program

Let’s come back to an important aspect of the 3 months of strength training ahead of you: nutrition.

Doing strength training, we agree, is great, but if alongside that you’re not giving your body the right nutrients so it can function, you may not reach your goals and end up disappointed.

On top of that, if your body doesn’t get the nutrients it needs, you’re going to have major energy crashes and feel like you’re just dragging yourself through your days. That, we’ve experienced, and it’s not fun. That’s why, in addition to strength training, it was essential that Élise trust us so she could become her own nutrition coach.

Just like with Élise, we’re going to do things properly so you can create a caloric deficit while respecting your body’s needs during these 3 months when you’re going to build muscle.

One mistake we unfortunately see far too often is telling yourself, “ I work out, so I can eat whatever I want ”. That’s not true at all! If you increase the number of calories you consume, you’ll have to work twice as hard during your workouts. Those extra calories will reduce the benefit of your strength training sessions, which will slow down, or even stop, your progress, creating a vicious cycle of guilt, shame, and failure.

Élise was especially careful about those calories, and here’s an excerpt from her review of her 3-month body transformation:

Still on the topic of nutrition, another essential piece of advice that Élise quickly embraced was: “eat enough protein.”

Just like with strength training for women, there are also a lot of misconceptions here. In particular, protein is too often associated with red meat, and eating meat is seen as “a guy thing.” You probably see where we’re going with this, but yes, we can confirm that you absolutely have the right to eat meat, and even to enjoy it.

But be careful not to neglect plant-based protein sources. Variety on your plate also matters so you don’t get bored with your meals. If you’re not used to cooking legumes (lentils, red lentils, chickpeas, etc.), you’re going to need to take an interest in them.

That’s perfect, because in addition to our coaching, you get access to the Champions tribe as well as lots of delicious culinary gems. There’s nothing cult-like about it. The tribe is simply a space where you can talk with other women who have transformed themselves or are in the process of transforming. The goal is to share good tips, but also delicious and healthy recipes to expand what feels possible for you.

Trust us, the support of the tribe, on top of ours, is incredibly helpful when starting a 3-month strength training program.

Don’t neglect sleep, there will be a before and after in your 3 months of training

You tell yourself that sleeping is great, but you wonder how to make it work with everything you have to manage in a day between:

  • Taking care of your children ;
  • Having a fulfilling love life ;
  • Managing your career ;
  • Trying to carve out a little time for yourself.

It’s possible, especially now that we’re going to guide you through your 3 months of training.

For a long time, we made the mistake of neglecting our sleep, telling ourselves we’d rest later. And that was despite feeling low on energy and sometimes irritable. Now, we have a radically different approach!

Another Champion who regained energy and life balance thanks to training, nutrition, and sleep is Laurie, whose before-and-after photos from her 3 months of training you’ll see:

“A healthy mind in a healthy body, serenity with my body, my mind, food, and training: that was what I asked for, and that was Jérémy’s answer by bringing me his help, his knowledge, and his amazing coaching.

I learned to understand my needs, my desires, and to find harmony between my personal life as a mom, my life as a manager at work, and my life as an athlete.

Live, Laugh, Enjoy: this phrase applies to every area of life.

I found real pleasure again in strength training, which I had abandoned since my pregnancy.

A muscular, toned body, my figure back, and mental “peace.””

But in the end, why did we completely change our approach and start asking our clients to get enough sleep?

In particular because of this study from the National Library of Medicine in Washington. To keep it simple, 10,000 men and women were followed to examine the relationship between their sleep and their muscle strength. This study highlighted the fact that people who slept less than 6 hours per night had lower muscle strength than those who slept between 6 and 7 hours, who themselves performed below the people who slept 8 hours or more.

And here, we’re only talking about muscle strength.

In this other study from the same source, a group of 13 people went through one night of total sleep deprivation and one night of normal sleep. At 1 p.m. the next day, they were all tested. And the verdict was clear: the researchers found that muscle growth was 18 % lower after the night of total sleep deprivation!

When we think about all those years we spent sleeping badly and neglecting our recovery time... Don’t make the same mistake we did! Picture us hypnotizing you with a pendulum in front of your eyes if necessary, but sleep!

Since learning about these studies, we recommend that all our Champions sleep 9 h per night ideally. Yes, we know, that sounds huge, but let us explain.

A sleep cycle is considered to last 1 h 30. If you only sleep 5 of them, that gives you 7 h 30 of sleep, which is slightly insufficient.

Another detail that also matters: if you can wake up naturally and without that modern torture device called an alarm clock, or your phone alarm, that’s much better.

Why? Quite simply because it cuts into your cycle and breaks part of its restorative benefits. By sleeping enough, you may feel like it’s lost time. Except you’re going to have overflowing energy and better focus. Your whole day will feel simpler and smoother, and you’ll reach your 3-month body transformation goals more easily.

If you want to dig a little deeper to better understand the relationship between your sleep and the 3 months of training ahead of you, we recommend this study from Biron Laboratory, which looks at sleep.

What results can you expect after 3 months of strength training?

One of the questions that comes up most often when we talk about 3 months of training is:

“ Is it really possible to build muscle in 3 months? ”

To answer you, we reviewed a few Champions we coached over periods of around 3 months.

They all had similar expectations:

  • Tone their bodies ;
  • Slim down their figure ;
  • Make peace with their bodies.

Among the questions they had in mind before starting, they were asking themselves “ when do you start seeing the first effects of training? ”, and they all noticed the first changes in their bodies within the very first weeks.

Among these 6 Champions, all of them managed to lose visceral fat and saw their stomachs flatten within the first 15 days.

You might think these are just words. That’s why we’re going to share, with their permission, the 3-month results of 3 other clients.

The coach’s recommendations for your 3 months of strength training

Let’s do a quick recap of what you need to remember for your 3-month fitness program.

Let’s start with the heart of your program: strength training.

But above all, keep in mind that we’re not going to create a training routine for you, we’re going to create your routine together. Your schedule is packed and you can’t do more than 10 minutes of training a day? That works for us. You’d rather do one 90-minute workout per week? That’s totally fine. Same principle if you’d rather train at home or go to the gym, you choose based on what you want to do and also what you can do.

Whatever you choose, you’ll quickly realize that you can build muscle in 3 months.

We covered it together in the article, but another ally you’re going to need is a caloric deficit.

We’re going to guide you so you understand the calories you consume and avoid the famous trap of “ yes but I work out, so I can eat whatever I want ”. You can eat chips, cheese, candy, but it has to be reasonable, controlled, and occasional. If eating those foods becomes a daily routine to reward yourself for training, then you’ll get the opposite effect and all the effort you put in during these 3 months of training will be wasted.

Don’t forget to eat enough protein. It’s one of the keys to your muscle growth.

Next, we’re going to ask you to accept taking time for yourself, and to do it without guilt. You give a lot to others:

  • Your children ;
  • The person who shares your life ;
  • Your job.

And that’s totally okay with us.

On the other hand, if you, as a woman, and not as a mother, wife, or employee, have to come after everyone else, then we’ll allow ourselves to be firm, and we’re sorry, but that’s out of the question! We’re not telling you that you have to put all your energy into yourself, we’re asking you to find balance.

Speaking of balance, something that’s too often neglected and helps you find it is sleep. You need to sleep enough, otherwise you’ll lack energy, your reasoning abilities will be impaired, and that encourages food slipups.

Despite having a varied athletic background, I was no longer making progress after a difficult ordeal and the effects of menopause. 10 months ago, I joined Jérémy's program feeling deeply exhausted, both physically and mentally, with the sense that I'd tried everything without ever being able to stick with it over time.

Living with moderate obesity, I tried different methods, diets, fasting, and even electrostimulation, but I always ended up giving up, with more frustration, more guilt, and extra weight gained.

The real wake-up call came when I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea: my weight gain was no longer just about my appearance or my self-esteem, but also about my health.

Hello, I'm 52 years old, and I had been struggling for more than 5 years trying to lose weight. I was exhausting myself doing cardio, Pilates, basically trying a bit of everything, and when it came to food, I thought I was eating well.

A difference of about 10 kg (weight loss) and a more toned physique.

Not everything was perfect. Sometimes, I didn’t follow the program, and Jérémy helped me let go of the guilt. Those moments are part of the process, what matters is doing your best and sticking with it. Sometimes, I felt like it was pointless, then I looked at the results. I was proud of myself. Other times, I was extremely consistent and it was absolutely on fire.

Before Jérémy, my body was a real obstacle and I didn’t understand why my weight was going up even though “I wasn’t eating that badly.”

After Jérémy, I understood: eating healthy is not the same as fat loss. There are so many factors to take into account, and I learned them by his side.

I chose to start coaching after gradual weight gain that was worrying me. Despite that, the professionals I saw did not take me seriously, since my BMI was considered "normal." I was often told that "after 40, that's completely common." And yet, deep down, I knew something was wrong. I dreamed of it, and Jérémy made it happen!

How can I describe the incredible life-changing experience of meeting Jérémy, a coach who is educational, kind, and always listening?
The ideal coach, really!

I’ve never exactly been naturally slim, but I have to admit I really went off track in recent years, gaining 20 kg in 5 years without managing to turn things around.
Despite my various attempts, cardio, diet support, EMS electrostimulation classes, and even "good resolutions", none of them worked.
So in the end, I had more or less resigned myself and accepted it: it was too late to change, and I would just live with the consequences of letting myself go for the rest of my life, dissatisfied...

Then, this summer, came the wake-up moment: I couldn’t keep up with my sons and my husband or fully enjoy family activities.

I reached out to Jérémy after gaining weight following a thyroidectomy, combined with the onset of menopause.
