No, anti-cellulite devices do not work. They target a problem that is very real, but they offer you a solution that is not actually a solution.

The companies selling these products prey on your body insecurities and the fact that you want fast results to feed you the marketing you want to hear, not the marketing you need. The kind that reassures you, gives you hope. The kind that makes you believe you can get fast results without effort.

But that does not exist.

Because these devices do not address the root of the problem. They only act superficially, with little or no results at all. Using all these slimming and anti-cellulite products is like putting a bandage on a wooden leg, it is useless.

If you really want to get rid of cellulite, orange-peel skin, and firm up your body, there are not a thousand ways to do it. It will come down to proper nutrition and the right kind of training. It may not be very pleasant to read, but it is the truth. So if your goal is to get rid of cellulite for good, and even more so to lose fat, we invite you to keep reading.

This could completely change the game. Literally.

In this guide, we'll explain how strength training and optimizing your nutrition will help you get rid of cellulite for good. By applying our advice, you too, in a few months, will get the same results as Isabelle, age 40.

Let's get straight to the point. We suggest starting with a short theoretical section on cellulite and anti-cellulite devices. Then we'll explain in detail why these anti-cellulite devices do not work. Finally, we'll give you the exact steps to get rid of your cellulite for good, without using gadgets, ointments, or miracle creams.

Cellulite, what is it, really?

Cellulite is an uneven storage of fat under the skin that creates the "orange-peel skin" look. It can be influenced by your diet, your hormones, or your blood circulation.

Keep in mind that fat is not your enemy. Your body needs it to function. The problem is when there is too much of it, or not enough. In both cases, it can become bad for your health, even dangerous.

There are 3 types of cellulite:

  • Fatty cellulite: linked to being overweight, it appears when you consume more calories than you burn over the long term. Your body stores the excess as fat, and some of it builds up under the skin, creating that "orange-peel skin" effect. So this is mainly an energy balance issue. The good news? It responds well to change. With a diet reset, and by moving more, you will reduce your body fat percentage and this cellulite will gradually fade.
  • Watery cellulite: caused by water retention and circulation issues, it is often associated with heavy legs. We have actually dedicated a full guide to explaining how to eliminate water retention.
  • Fibrous cellulite: old, hard, and painful. It is the most stubborn kind, but not impossible to eliminate.

We'll explain this in more detail in the video just below.

Basically, your cellulite is just fat that your body stored after consuming too many calories over a prolonged period. So how do anti-cellulite devices supposedly act on it?

The role of anti-cellulite devices

According to the brands selling these devices, it is the vibrations or the movements that mimic "palper-rouler" that may possibly help contribute to slightly smoother-looking skin after daily use for 1 to 4 weeks.

You will notice the use of words like "possibly", "contribute", and "slightly", terms brands often use to cover themselves. They know perfectly well that their device will not work. So they protect themselves however they can. Some will play up the "technological" side of their device to make you believe that what they are selling is the result of years of studies and research, a true jewel of technology.

You will also notice that these devices are not meant to eliminate cellulite. Of course not, that would be too good to be true. They are supposedly meant to "move it around." What a great solution. Sure, let me sweep the house and hide all the dust under the rug. It will look clean.

And that is without even mentioning the retouched photos and videos these brands use. Or the pseudo "tests" they rely on to claim their device works. Cellublue, a brand that sells anti-cellulite devices, tells you that the "results" achieved with their device are based on feedback from 6 women.

Now that is something solid! 17 women said they felt their skin looked a little smoother after a few uses, so that is enough to validate the device's effectiveness.

In such a pale gray that it is almost unreadable, probably so as not to draw attention to how weak the message is, you can read: clinical test carried out by The J.S. Hamilton Laboratory, on 20 volunteers, 1 use every day.

In short, you do not have to dig very far to understand that all they want is your money. These devices do not address the root of the problem. If all it took was pressing a button to eliminate cellulite and smooth the skin, do you really think there would still be a single woman on earth with cellulite? Of course not. But reality is very different.

And the reason is simple: getting rid of cellulite means acting at the source.

Does an anti-cellulite device teach you how to:

  • Structure your diet to avoid the calorie excess that promotes its appearance?
  • Understand and regulate your eating behaviors, snacking, cravings, compulsions?
  • Build a real program that stimulates your muscles and improves your circulation?
  • Develop sustainable habits that transform your body over the long term?

No, absolutely not. And that is the whole problem. But we will come back to that right after this. 

We would like to wrap up this section on anti-cellulite devices by sharing something that happened to us a few years ago with the brand Vibraskin.

Vibraskin review, a brand of vibrating massage devices

Vibraskin, this anti-cellulite device brand, was fairly well known a few years ago. And maybe this was your case too, hundreds of women took the plunge and bought their product. The thing is, their purchase was based on lies. Yes, lies. Vibraskin had no scruples about stealing before-and-after photos of women we coached directly from our website and putting them on theirs. As you can imagine, the idea was to make potential customers believe that the women they were seeing had achieved those results thanks to their device. When in reality, our clients took months to get those results through proper nutrition and strength training.

And here are two of the before-and-afters they kindly came and took from our site.

The Vibraskin brand does not even have any before-and-after photos to show on its site. Nothing. That says a lot about the real effectiveness of their anti-cellulite device.

And what about Cellublue? Why are we mentioning them? Not because they are worse than the others, but simply because they show up everywhere as soon as you look for solutions against cellulite. You have probably come across their ads or their products. And once again, our opinion is clear: their anti-cellulite device does not work.

It is not a sustainable solution.

Yes, their marketing is dreamy. Yes, their packaging makes you want to buy. But behind it, it is the same empty promise as Vibraskin and every other brand on the market: the same products, the same so-called "benefits." Sometimes they add a little extra gadget and present it as a "technological innovation that boosts cellulite elimination."

But it is still smoke and mirrors.

You get the idea: all these anti-cellulite devices are a waste of time, money, and energy. They do not attack the cause of the problem and will never get rid of your cellulite in a lasting way.

Now that that is said, you may be thinking, "OK Jérémy, we get it, anti-cellulite devices are not the solution. According to you, training and nutrition are THE solution to eliminate my cellulite for good. But concretely, how does that work? Am I going to have to chain together endless hours of cardio? Eat salads at every meal? Deprive myself like crazy? Wait forever before seeing results? Because if that is it, forget it!" Let us explain all of that.

Strength training and a caloric deficit, the most rational strategy to eliminate cellulite for good

You get it, if you really want to get rid of your cellulite, forget the miracle devices. The truth is, the foundation is the same for everyone: nutrition and strength training.

Why? Because cellulite appears when you have:

The solution is simple: reduce body fat and build your muscles. Not to look like a female bodybuilder, but to firm up your body and smooth your skin. Nothing magical about it. But you need to know how to do it and accept that it takes time and effort.

The caloric deficit, how to eliminate cellulite through controlled nutrition

To get rid of cellulite for good, you need to create a caloric deficit. Put simply, your body needs energy to function. That energy comes from what you eat.

If you consume slightly fewer calories than your body burns each day, it will make up the difference by drawing from your fat stores. And those stores also include the fat cells responsible for the "orange-peel skin" look.

That is how, gradually, your shape will slim down and your skin will become smoother.

The principle is simple, but the application has to be smart. This is not about starving yourself or following an extreme diet. The goal is to find the balance: lose fat, keep your energy, and stay consistent.

How do you do that?

Counting calories to eliminate cellulite

To count your calories, you do not need to overcomplicate things with difficult calculations, or become completely obsessive about counting every single calorie. There are apps that do the calculations for you. You quickly log what you eat, and the app handles the rest. Often, all you need to do is scan a food barcode, or even take a photo of your plate, to get an instant calorie estimate.

The number of calories you need to eat each day depends on your profile: the weight you want to lose, your height, your age, your physical activity level, and so on. You can also learn more in this guide: how to calculate your basal metabolic rate and total metabolism.

Once that number is established, all that is left is to put in place a caloric deficit suited to your goal, and follow it day after day. That number is not fixed. Your metabolism adapts as your body changes or your activity evolves. As a result, you will need to adjust your intake along the way to keep moving in the right direction.

Let us give you a concrete example.

One kilogram of fat corresponds to 8260 kcal. If your maintenance is 2000 kcal per day and you create a 500 kcal deficit, you drop to 1500 kcal per day. Result: it will take you about 17 days to eliminate 1 kilo of fat (8260 ÷ 500).

And since cellulite is part of that fat, it will disappear at the same time.

Be careful, we are talking here about one kilogram of fat. In 17 days, you will probably lose more than one kilo on the scale. But fat will not be the only thing in the equation. You will also lose water.

The deficit you put in place depends on the weight, and cellulite, you have to lose. It generally ranges from 5% to 40% of daily calorie intake. Basically, you will not use the same deficit if you have 5 kg or 30 kg of fat to lose.

You now understand the mechanism that will allow you to eliminate the cellulite on your body. Well, part of the mechanism. Because no, counting calories is not enough. There is a second key element to consider in your diet. That is macronutrients.

Protein, fats, fiber, the wellness trio

These 3 nutrient families are at the heart of your shape and your digestion. If you neglect one of them, your whole balance takes a hit. Let's not beat around the bush, we'll explain their role and how to consume them to help you eliminate your cellulite.

Protein

It is your best ally if you want a firm, defined body, and of course, that goes hand in hand with strength training, but we will come back to that right after. Protein repairs your muscles after effort, helps them grow, and helps prevent snacking by playing an important role in satiety.

In practice: aim between 1.6 and 2 g per kilo of body weight if you eat animal protein, and up to 2.3 g if you are vegetarian or vegan, plant proteins are less well absorbed.

The easiest way to stay on top of it is to count your protein every day, just like your calories. It takes 2 to 3 minutes with an app, ours does it very well for our clients, and it helps you avoid eating too little or way too much.

We are telling you this because I made that mistake when I was 20.

At the time, I had read online that you had to eat huge amounts of protein to get results. With my all-or-nothing mindset, I told myself: "the more I take, the better it will work". I went up to 3 to 4 g per kilo of body weight. The result? No more muscle, but major joint pain. The lesson: in nutrition as in everything else, "more and more" is not the solution.

Where can you find this protein? In meat, and not just beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, and veal are all excellent sources, but also in fish, seafood, eggs, dairy products, legumes... You have plenty of options to vary things without limiting yourself.

Fats

For years, they were presented to us as the enemy, but in reality, they are essential. Without fats, your body does not function properly. They regulate your hormones, the ones that directly influence your hunger, your energy, and your ability to lose fat, they support muscle recovery, help your body absorb key vitamins like A, D, E, and K, and support your training progress.

If you cut fats too much, it is not a shortcut to faster weight loss, it is a blow to your hormonal balance and your health. You can find them in many everyday foods: fatty fish like salmon or sardines, eggs, oils, butter, milk, and cheese.

The key idea is simple: fats should make up about 20% to 40% of your daily calorie intake. Going below that is not optimization, it is taking the risk of throwing your body out of balance.

Carbohydrates, and especially fiber

Carbohydrates are your main fuel: they give you energy quickly and can support muscle building after physical effort. You can eat any type of carbohydrates you want, as long as you respect your caloric deficit. But to optimize your fat loss and muscle gains, we recommend prioritizing fiber. These carbohydrates improve digestion and increase the energy expenditure linked to digestion.

Set yourself the goal of consuming at least 25 g of fiber per day.

You will find it in legumes, fruit, and grains. And for other carbohydrates, the ones that are not fiber, you can still enjoy yourself, as long as the total amount you eat stays aligned with your calorie goal. And rest assured, even if you eat them in the evening, they do not turn into fat while you sleep. That is a myth.

As you can see, nutrition is the key to addressing your cellulite at the root. When managed well, it becomes your ally, whereas anti-cellulite devices have no lasting effect.

Now that you are clear on nutrition, let's look at the second essential element for eliminating it for good.

Strength training, for smooth skin, a firm body, and a balanced shape

If you want to transform your body, nutrition and strength training are inseparable. They complement each other in your fat loss and muscle gain, and therefore ultimately in achieving smooth, cellulite-free skin.

See for yourself:

Gina, age 41, sculpted her body while eliminating her cellulite thanks to proper nutrition and strength training. If she had removed one of those two elements from the equation, she never would have achieved these results.

But why strength training and not another sport? We know that a number of women have this fear of strength training, or no interest in it at all. And that is for several reasons. 

  • They think they will build way too much muscle and end up looking like a man;
  • They think all they need to do is burn calories to firm up their body;
  • They think they need to spend hours in the gym every week to get results;
  • They are afraid of other people's judgment and do not want to be seen working out.

Basically, they make a mountain out of it before even trying. They do not realize how important strength training is for achieving a firm body and smooth skin. And yet, this type of training has the best effort-to-time-to-results-to-health ratio.

No other accessible discipline transforms the body so deeply. The hardest part is not getting started, it is knowing where to begin. Here is, in our opinion, the best strength training program for women to start your transformation quickly and effectively.

Strength training firms and builds your muscles, while your nutrition gradually eliminates your excess fat. After 3 months of training, you will see that the synergy of these two elements leads to a firm, defined, lean, and balanced body. Once your muscles become "visible" because you have eliminated the layer of fat covering them, they will give shape to your silhouette.

And as we said above, you do not need to spend hours at the gym every week to get there. If you are a beginner, you can absolutely start at home with 10 minutes of strength training per day. That is already a very good start for getting your first results. Once your body adapts, you can gradually increase the difficulty to improve your results. And of course, there is no obligation to go to the gym. You can go if you enjoy it and it motivates you, but you can also absolutely train from home.

That depends on you.

Despite having a varied athletic background, I was no longer making progress after a difficult ordeal and the effects of menopause. 10 months ago, I joined Jérémy's program feeling deeply exhausted, both physically and mentally, with the sense that I'd tried everything without ever being able to stick with it over time.

Living with moderate obesity, I tried different methods, diets, fasting, and even electrostimulation, but I always ended up giving up, with more frustration, more guilt, and extra weight gained.

The real wake-up call came when I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea: my weight gain was no longer just about my appearance or my self-esteem, but also about my health.

Hello, I'm 52 years old, and I had been struggling for more than 5 years trying to lose weight. I was exhausting myself doing cardio, Pilates, basically trying a bit of everything, and when it came to food, I thought I was eating well.

A difference of about 10 kg (weight loss) and a more toned physique.

Not everything was perfect. Sometimes, I didn’t follow the program, and Jérémy helped me let go of the guilt. Those moments are part of the process, what matters is doing your best and sticking with it. Sometimes, I felt like it was pointless, then I looked at the results. I was proud of myself. Other times, I was extremely consistent and it was absolutely on fire.

Before Jérémy, my body was a real obstacle and I didn’t understand why my weight was going up even though “I wasn’t eating that badly.”

After Jérémy, I understood: eating healthy is not the same as fat loss. There are so many factors to take into account, and I learned them by his side.

I chose to start coaching after gradual weight gain that was worrying me. Despite that, the professionals I saw did not take me seriously, since my BMI was considered "normal." I was often told that "after 40, that's completely common." And yet, deep down, I knew something was wrong. I dreamed of it, and Jérémy made it happen!

How can I describe the incredible life-changing experience of meeting Jérémy, a coach who is educational, kind, and always listening?
The ideal coach, really!

I’ve never exactly been naturally slim, but I have to admit I really went off track in recent years, gaining 20 kg in 5 years without managing to turn things around.
Despite my various attempts, cardio, diet support, EMS electrostimulation classes, and even "good resolutions", none of them worked.
So in the end, I had more or less resigned myself and accepted it: it was too late to change, and I would just live with the consequences of letting myself go for the rest of my life, dissatisfied...

Then, this summer, came the wake-up moment: I couldn’t keep up with my sons and my husband or fully enjoy family activities.

I reached out to Jérémy after gaining weight following a thyroidectomy, combined with the onset of menopause.
