Why aren't we losing weight even though we're eating healthy?

Summary...

It’s enough to drive you crazy! You eat healthy, but you want to know why you’re not losing weight anymore?

You’ve hit a weight loss plateau and don’t know what to do? You want to understand why your weight has been stuck for several weeks? And yet, you feel like you’re following your plan to the letter. You pay attention to what you eat. In fact, you’re sure you eat better than before. You even do cardio to lose weight.

Despite all that, here is the one and only reason for your disappointment:

You eat too many calories. Or at least, you eat more calories than your body needs to lose fat. That means that, whether you realize it or not, you’re eating more than you think.

“Why am I not losing weight?” is probably the question we’ve been asked most often since we became online fitness and nutrition coaches specializing in weight loss. And in the five thousand words that follow, we’re going to do everything we can to explain why you’re no longer losing weight and how to break through this plateau.

A slow metabolism gets blamed for everything, but in reality, there are two main factors at play here: inaccurate nutrition reporting and calorie ignorance. Basically, your brain and our obesogenic environment are playing tricks on you.

We’re here to help you outsmart the traps your own mind can set for you and become aware of the calories you’re actually consuming, so you can eat properly without having to deprive yourself or starve.

Metabolic crash and a slow metabolism

You’ve been lied to about metabolism.

If you’ve been led to believe that your metabolism is broken and that you need a metabolic reset to lose weight, hold on tight. Between fitness influencers making you believe your body has stopped burning calories and those selling you miracle reverse diets as the only solution, it’s time to set the record straight.

Before-and-after photos of a 50-year-old woman who lost 10 kilos after menopause.
After menopause, your metabolism slows down and you’re doomed to gain weight, right? Well, no: Béatrice, who lost 10 kg at 50, proves that no metabolic adaptation is irreversible!

Here’s what science says: your metabolism does not shut down or break. This myth is kept alive to sell you useless programs that have no solid scientific basis.

It’s true, when you reduce your calories over a long period, your body adapts by burning a little less. That’s what we call metabolic adaptation. It’s not a complete shutdown of your metabolism, just an adaptation to external factors that only lasts as long as those factors persist.

Metabolic adaptation is therefore a normal and completely reversible phenomenon, and its impact remains relatively modest. It’s not what’s stopping you from progressing, but rather poor management of your tracking:

  • Errors in calculating calorie intake
  • Fluctuations in total body water
  • Lack of consistency in food tracking
  • Muscle gain causing body weight to increase despite an overall drop in body fat percentage

All of that, and we’ll explain it in detail later, but not a blocked metabolism.

Reverse diets and other metabolic reset methods that claim to repair a supposedly broken metabolism are largely exaggerated concepts.

So, rather than falling into the trap of these marketing strategies, you need to accept reality:

You’re not losing weight? Then your caloric deficit isn’t real or isn’t large enough. You want to eat more without gaining fat? You need to gradually increase your activity and adjust your calories consistently. Your weight has been stuck for weeks? It’s probably water fluctuations, not your metabolism.

The bad news is that there’s no magic shortcut. What works is a logical, measurable approach tailored to you.  The good news? You don’t need to buy a miracle program to get there.

We also wrote this full article that helps you figure out whether you might have a slow metabolism, and what to do to boost it. You can go check it out if that’s a topic that interests you. Let’s not make this post unnecessarily longer, it’s already dense enough.

One last point: some medical conditions can affect weight loss. The most important case being hypothyroidism

Before-and-after photos of a 55-year-old woman who lost 15 kilos despite Hashimoto's hyperthyroidism.
But even hypothyroidism didn’t stop Nathalie from losing 15 kg at 55.

This topic is outside our area of expertise. All we’re allowed to say is this: if you think this might be the case, meaning you’ve read this article all the way through and you’re sure everything else is in order, then go see a doctor and get your thyroid checked.

Inaccurate nutrition reporting

The truth is, we are bad, actually very bad, at estimating the total calories in the foods we eat. That’s not just an opinion, it’s a fact. There are tons of studies showing exactly what we’re saying: here and there, over here, over there, here, here ... and here again. In short, it’s a problem that affects everyone. Even us…

Have you ever heard of Cinnabon, those delicious cinnamon rolls from the United States? We once wanted to try one in a shopping mall in the heart of Bangkok, in 2019. Well, we came back down to earth pretty quickly...

After taking a look at the chain’s website to find out the total calories in this “harmless little treat,” we discovered that one Cinnabon contains 1100 kcal for just 290 g of food!

Hypothetically, for a woman with an energy expenditure of 2000 kcal per day, that represents more than half of her daily calorie budget... Just for one tiny little pastry.

Needless to say, that instantly killed our craving.

Before-and-after photos of a woman who lost 10 kg at age 41 by becoming aware of her energy intake.
At 41, Stéphanie lost 10 kg, partly because we helped her become aware of the calories she was consuming each day. That doesn’t mean she had to deprive herself, though!

Inaccurate reporting of energy intake is not limited to the general public. Here is a review of a study by James Krieger from Weightology, showing that even dietitians misreport the calorie intake of foods.

The results showed that dietitians underestimated their nutrition intake by an average of 223 calories per day, while non-experts underestimated their intake by an average of 429 calories per day. So while being a dietitian improves the accuracy of calorie intake estimates, it does not eliminate the underreporting phenomenon.

Yes, even people whose job is to juggle calories every day are not immune to error.

Needless to say, over time, we’ve accepted it. We’re all bad at accurately tracking our food intake.

Before-and-after photos of a woman who lost 17 kg at age 40 thanks to a better understanding of her diet.
Alexandrine had tried all kinds of diets. In the end, at 40, she relearned how to eat properly and lost 17 kg.

One of the reasons it’s easy to get our daily calories wrong is that, on top of poorly estimating how much food we eat, we also don’t really know how many calories our different foods contain.

Calorie ignorance

People don’t just fail to know how many calories they consume, they also don’t know what a calorie is.

As Marion Nestlé said, “people have a vague idea that calories have something to do with weight gain or weight loss, but they don’t know how many calories they consume in a day.” And that’s the problem.

When you don’t pay attention to your calorie intake, you expose yourself to all the environmental and cognitive factors that push you to eat more and more, without even realizing it. Which brings us to...

The obesogenic environment

As we’re about to show you, there are a multitude of environmental and cognitive factors to take into account when you’re trying to lose weight for good.

If you’re not aware of the calories you consume, you’ll have a hard time maintaining your weight or bringing it down. Even if you eat healthy, even if you avoid processed foods, even if you do cardio.

Before-and-after photos of a woman, illustrating her 10 kg weight loss at age 52, made possible by becoming aware of the calories she was consuming.
Valérie was eating fairly healthy, but she had no idea how many calories she was taking in. By better understanding how to manage her calories, she was able to lose 10 kg at 52.

You also don’t need to become neurotic about tracking your calories, but having an idea of your daily calorie intake helps a lot when it comes to making choices that align with your body transformation goal. The level of precision you want to put in place will depend on your goals and circumstances.

But what does our environment have to do with our difficulty losing weight ?

Over the course of evolution, the goal was to eat as much as possible whenever food was available. The aim was to store as much fat, as much energy, as possible in order to survive until the end of winter, when food was scarce and hard to find.

A few thousand years later, we arrive at the Industrial Revolution, bringing with it the rise of technology and mechanization. With this boom came easier and easier access to food. We no longer have to go get it or work for it to feed ourselves: our food gets delivered to our doorstep with a single click. Thanks, Uber.

But it doesn’t stop there. Not only do we have easy access to food, but the food itself is not suited to our health and fitness goals.

Calorie density

Have you ever craved a food, then seen its calorie count and thought, “no, that can’t be right, there’s no way it contains that many calories”?

Remember the Cinnabon example, with its 1100 kcal for just 290 g of pastry? Unfortunately, that’s pretty representative of what’s wrong with many of our foods. Today’s food is calorie-dense.

Calorie density refers to the number of calories relative to the weight and size of foods. Fruits and vegetables have low calorie density, while highly processed foods like candy bars, cakes, and donuts have high calorie density.

Let’s compare the Cinnabon, yes, that one again, which weighs 290 g and contains 1100 kcal, to a large apple, which weighs about 220 g and contains 110 kcal.

Photos of a Cinnabon and an apple, showing the calorie difference between the two, 1100 kcal for the Cinnabon and 110 kcal for the apple.
At almost the same weight, there are 10 times more calories in a Cinnabon than in an apple!

In the modern food environment, foods are getting smaller and smaller, yet contain two, three, or even four times more calories than their size would suggest.

That’s why it’s so important to clearly understand the distinction between calorie intake and the amount of food, food volume. Calories are not what fill you up, the volume of the food you eat is. For the same number of calories, 10 apples will curb your hunger far more effectively than a single Cinnabon (okay, 10 apples a day is a lot, but you get the idea).

The solution: start counting your calories

Start learning to think more consciously about what you put in your mouth. Tell yourself that this is a necessary skill if you want to succeed in your body transformation!

If you want to go deeper into the topic, we have an article about counting calories where we share our tips.

To help you make peace with your calories and make it more fun, there are several calorie tracking apps. We even recently developed one ourselves, which we make available to all our Champions. It lets you keep a food log, visualize your calorie consumption and macros, and much more.

Thanks to this app, you can make sure, without the headache, that these high-calorie foods don’t wreck your daily or weekly calorie budget.

Ultra-processed foods can absolutely fit into a healthy lifestyle. Keeping in mind that, in all cases, an inclusive diet should be made up mostly of unprocessed foods that provide all the essential nutrients your health and your body need to function properly.

Especially since unprocessed foods take up more space in your stomach for fewer calories than a processed food. Remember, an apple is about 10 times fewer calories for 200 g than a Cinnabon. That matters when it comes to maximizing satiety.

Hunger is the number one enemy of weight loss. Trust us. After trying to fight hunger many times, we can tell you it won every single time.

The general rule is that unprocessed foods, such as vegetables, root vegetables, and tubers, should make up 80% of a healthy diet, and the remaining 20% is there for you to add some enjoyment to your meals.

If you have a sweet tooth like we do, never deprive yourself of the foods you love. That’s the only way you’ll be able to stick to your weight loss diet long term, without regaining all your weight because of the frustration you created. That’s why we offer our Champions hundreds of healthy recipes that are also delicious !

Photo of a crêpe with skyr, raspberries, and M&Ms, with one serving containing 28 g of protein.
Here’s a recipe for crêpes with skyr, raspberries, and M&Ms that our Champions have access to, letting them treat themselves while getting plenty of protein.

When you start a diet to lose weight, ask yourself this question: can I see myself doing this for the rest of my life?

·   If the answer is no, you need to change that right away...

·   If it’s yes, great. Keep going.

We talked about the problem of eating too healthy in this podcast episode.

Food palatability

Not only are our modern foods very high in calories, and almost too easy to get, but they’re also designed to make you want to eat more and more. Have you ever tried eating just one chip... then another... and another... one last one... and one more for the road? Then you know exactly what we mean.

Hyper-palatable foods is the sophisticated term for “this tastes insanely good.” That’s the result of the perfect combination of sugar, fat, and salt, also known as the bliss point.

Typical junk food, in quotes, like ice cream, pastries, savory snacks, candy, and pizza are the very definition of ultra-comforting foods.

The problem

When we eat these hyper-palatable foods, they trigger a series of mechanisms in our brain called the reward system, which makes us want to eat more of these foods. It’s the same system that lights up when people take drugs, drink alcohol, and have sex.

Food hyper-palatability encourages us to eat more and pushes us to keep eating again and again, even when we feel full.

The solution

If you notice that certain foods make you overeat, stop eating them and don’t keep them in the house. The more you reduce your exposure to these foods, the more likely you are to successfully manage your diet.

Studies suggest that when people reduce the palatability of their meals, they are more likely to successfully maintain their weight loss long term.

That’s what we’ve been doing for 5 years. We were addicted to Golden Grahams cereal! Like little kids. We got to the point of finishing a box a day. Yes. A box a day. Completely unable to stick to a 30 g serving like the package so kindly recommends. Even today, we don’t bring cereal into our cupboards so we don’t have to fight ourselves.

Photo of a serving of chicken breast stuffed with brie and figs, with one serving containing 46 g of protein for 381 kcal.
And that doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself. Look at our recipe for chicken stuffed with brie and figs, there’s nothing boring or bland about it.

Today, access to abnormally delicious food is constant, just a click away. Combined with our declining activity levels, we have the perfect formula for rapid fat gain. That’s what we call an obesogenic environment.

Careful! That doesn’t mean fat gain is inevitable, or that training and eating well are pointless. Let’s not be fatalistic.

In fact, quite the opposite, all the research we have on people who have successfully lost weight and maintained it long term shows that training and being aware of the number of calories consumed are two key habits.

You also need to avoid falling into certain cognitive traps set by your own brain.

Cognitive errors

The environment we live in is only half the problem. The other half isn’t external, it’s internal, and it all happens in our mind. These cognitive errors can be just as insidious, if not more so, for our waistline than the environment around us.

The healthy halo effect

The healthy halo effect happens when consumers think that foods marketed as healthier don’t make you gain weight. So they compensate for their food urges by eating more of these healthier foods, which leads to extra calorie consumption.

Have you ever replaced your square of chocolate with a handful of almonds or a banana because it’s healthy ?

Us? Yes. And many of our Champions too.

Before-and-after photos of a woman, illustrating her 16 kg weight loss thanks to a suitable diet and training program.
At 43, Mélissa thought she was eating healthy, but she wasn’t losing weight. We gave her the tools to rebalance her diet, and you can see the result!

When we start personalized coaching, we ask our clients to send us photos of everything they eat throughout the day. In the first few weeks, we always notice the same thing. The 5 p.m. piece of chocolate gets replaced with a nice healthy handful of almonds. Then it gets entered into the calorie tracking app. And that’s when reality hits.

  • 1 handful of almonds weighs about 30 g, or 23 almonds, and costs 174 kcal
  • 1 medium banana weighs about 136 g and costs 121 kcal
  • 1 Lindt chocolate ball weighs about 11 g and costs 70 kcal

Careful, don’t make us say what we didn’t say. We’re not telling you to eat chocolate and ban almonds from your diet. But the problem is that we try to force ourselves to eat something because we read somewhere that it helps you lose weight. So we deprive ourselves of the things we love. Then we slip up! It’s all about context.

You’re not hungry and you want a treat? Have your favorite piece of chocolate. You’re really hungry? Go for a food that takes up space in your stomach, like a banana for example.

But there’s another problem too...

There’s olive oil everywhere. But Jérémy, olive oil is healthy, right? Well. Yes... and no!

  • 1 g of oil = 1 g of fat = 9 kcal
  • 1 tablespoon of oil = 12 g of oil = 12 g of fat = 108 kcal
  • A classic vinaigrette contains about 2 tablespoons of oil and costs 216 kcal

So through the cumulative effect, you can quickly end up with 500 calories consumed without even realizing it.

Orange juice is another example of the healthy effect. You know those 100% natural, organic fruit juices, freshly picked and pressed by the hands of an angel, right? Let’s talk about them.

Here’s what one serving (150 ml) of orange juice looks like.

__wf_reserved_inherit

Remember the total calories in one Lindt chocolate ball? It’s the same thing.

Now, we don’t know about you, but we’ve never seen anyone drink a 150 ml serving. Most people fill the glass to the top. So here’s what a real glass of juice looks like, 350 ml, or 170 kcal.

__wf_reserved_inherit

If you drink two glasses of fruit juice a day because you’ve always been told it’s healthy, you’re consuming 350 kcal without even realizing it. Even if those juices are labeled “100% natural” and packed with all sorts of wonderful vitamins and minerals...

Those calories still count and they add up fast. Very fast.

Especially since juice is not as filling as a piece of fruit you actually bite into... The more you drink your calories, the more calories you’ll consume. Before a liquid makes you feel full, you’ll have blown through your calorie budget.

By comparison, a medium orange provides 62 kcal and 15.4 g of carbohydrates. Two glasses of orange juice represent the same number of calories as 6 medium oranges. In your opinion, what’s going to fill you up more if you’re hungry?

There’s nothing inherently wrong with “diet” products either. In fact, they can even be helpful during a period when you’re trying to lower your calories to lose fat. So it can be useful to include them in your diet so you can enjoy yourself without exceeding your energy balance.

The problem is that people wrongly think they can eat as much of them as they want. Careful: they may be low calorie, but they are not calorie-free.

Beyond these diet products, with the rise of fitness and strength training in recent years, there has been an explosion of high-protein products. You can even find them in supermarkets now, whereas before you had to go to specialty stores.

Photos of a Nature Valley bar and a Snickers bar, with their nutrition facts shown below, indicating that the Nature Valley bar has 190 kcal and 10 g of protein, while the Snickers bar has 250 kcal and 4 g of protein.
On the left, you have a popular “healthy” bar. On the right, right before your eyes, is the most delicious candy bar on the planet.

At first glance, the Nature Valley bar seems better, right? Fewer calories, more protein, less sugar. Not so fast, Champion. Let’s really take a closer look at these bars.

Calories: 190 versus 250. Great. There’s a 60 kcal difference between a healthy bar and a bad chocolate bar, delicious though it may be. We don’t see that as extraordinary.

And above all, the Nature Valley bar contains only 6 g more protein than the Snickers bar... That’s not such a huge difference, in our opinion.

Plus, if a product claims to be high in protein, you might think protein makes up the largest percentage of the total calories, right?

Well... Protein makes up only 22% of the total calories, while fat makes up more than half. We don’t know about you, Champion, but based on the numbers, we’d say it would be more appropriate for the packaging to say high in fat rather than high in protein !

If we were to compare this to the currently popular Grenade protein bars:

Nutrition facts of a Grenade bar, showing that it contains 24% carbohydrates, 33% fat, and 43% protein.
The Grenade bar contains more protein than fat or carbohydrates.

43% of the total calories come from protein. See the difference?

So yes, a Nature Valley bar may contain fewer calories and may be a better substitute for a Snickers bar during a diet to lose weight.

Most people assume that because the Nature Valley bar is healthy, they can eat more of it without worrying about calories. When in reality, two or three of these bars a day can represent more than 500 kcal. That’s more than enough to start gaining 500 g of fat in a week.

Most of these high-protein products marketed as being healthier are nothing more than glorified candy bars.

And if you don’t consciously pay attention to the calorie content of these foods, the calories can pile up very quickly.

The organic food trap

This might get us in trouble, but here we go! Yes. The holy spirit of the food industry: organic products.

When a food is labeled organic, people assume it contains fewer calories than a non-organic equivalent, and this is fascinating, even when they’re told that both products contain the same number of calories, they don’t believe it. We get hit over the head so much with the organic message that we can understand why.

Our grandmother is always proud to tell us, eat this chicken, it’s good for you sweetheart, it’s organic! (sweetheart is her nickname for us). Except we’ll spare you the counting of how much oil goes into making this chicken cari, a typical dish from Réunion Island. We actually reworked her recipe to make it just as good, but lower in calories.

__wf_reserved_inherit
Our chicken cari recipe has 62 g of protein for 585 kcal.

What we want you to understand today is that healthy is not the same as calorie-free. Healthy foods should be the foundation of our diet, but within the broader context of calorie control.

We forget what we ate

Do you remember what you ate for breakfast? Do you remember everything you ate yesterday? The day before?

Important point: we’re not very good at remembering what we’ve eaten. That’s one reason why we eat more than we think.

That’s another reason why giving your memory a little help by keeping a food log with an app like FatSecret can be really useful.

Dishware size

Take a look at these two plates.

Two plates of salad, a large plate with little food on the left and a smaller one on the right with the same amount of food. The latter looks fuller.
The size of the plate can make your portion look bigger or smaller than it really is.

Which plate do you think contains more salad?

·  The one on the left? You’re wrong.

·  Oh, you picked the plate on the right? You’re wrong too.

These two plates contain the same amount of salad, 70 g. This photo illustrates the portion size illusion: larger dishware pushes us to eat more. We always try to fill the empty space.

The solution: serving food on smaller plates can help you reduce the amount of food you eat and therefore, lower your calorie intake.

Your scale weight does not reflect changes in your body composition

Before wrapping up this post, we want to take a moment to remind you that if you’re not losing weight on the scale, that doesn’t always mean you’re not making progress.

There are several reasons why the number on the scale may not accurately reflect your progress.

Muscle gain

If you’re in the same situation as most of our Champions, your goal isn’t just to lose weight indiscriminately.

In general, the women who come to us for coaching are looking to slim down, yes, but above all, they want to reshape their bodies, to sculpt them. That’s what we call body recomposition.

Of course, as we always say, fire doesn’t turn into water, and fat doesn’t turn into muscle. But during a body recomposition, alongside fat loss, our Champions also build muscle mass. That way, they can lose weight without becoming skinny and while keeping harmonious proportions.

Except here’s the thing, at equal volume, muscle weighs more than fat. So a woman who gets slimmer while also firming up her body through strength training may end up weighing roughly the same as before, but with a very different physique.

Let’s take the very real example of one of our Champions, Gina.

__wf_reserved_inherit
Gina lost 5.5 cm off her waist while gaining muscle mass.

She looks slimmer in the photos on the right, doesn’t she? And she is, she lost 5.5 cm off her waist and 7 cm off her hips. Now what if we told you she weighs 4 kg more on the right? And yet, it’s true. At the start, Gina was skinny fat, meaning she looked slim but had too much body fat and not enough muscle mass

Because she built a lot of muscle during her body recomposition, she actually gained weight, but that absolutely does not mean she failed to reach the goal she had set for herself.

What matters in the end is that your body matches the vision you have for it. The number on the scale can guide you, but not losing weight does not necessarily mean you’re not progressing.

What your scale doesn’t take into account

Speaking of the scale... It’s not just your body composition that it can sometimes fail to reflect.

Depending on how much sodium you consumed, or simply the time of day, you may retain more or less water, which can distort your official weight.

On top of that, scales are sometimes inaccurate for all sorts of reasons: low battery, the surface they’re placed on, the way you stand on them, and so on. All of these things can make you feel like you haven’t made progress.

Even going to the bathroom before or after weighing yourself makes a difference of a few hundred grams. So don’t panic too much if your weight seems stuck. If it stays that way, of course, you can consider all the other possibilities we mentioned above, but there’s no need to stress over the first disappointing weigh-in.

There are plenty of other factors that can distort the number on the scale. We go into a bit more detail in our post about normal weight fluctuations.

To conclude

Wow! You’ve just made it to the end of an article of more than five thousand words about calories and food.

Champion, you’re not a normal inhabitant of this beautiful blue sphere. You’re part of the top 1% of crazy people who want to succeed and reach their goal no matter what!

Good job.

We hope that after reading this article, you understand that your environment and your cognitive errors can push you to eat far more than you think, even when you think you’re doing everything right.

That’s why it’s important to have a fundamental understanding of calories and to track your diet with an app for a certain period of time. Calorie awareness is our shield against an obesogenic environment that encourages us to overeat.

Calorie tracking is a life skill that will help you understand portion sizes and what a real portion looks like at your favorite restaurant. Over time, you’ll be able to estimate with your eyes the number of calories in foods without having to track them in an app. But first, you need to start with the basics.

If you’re ready to start your body recomposition journey, you can get in touch with us to apply for coaching! We’re waiting for you!

Before contacting Jérémy, I was overweight. I was still carrying 10 extra kg after my pregnancies. I had been carrying those kilos for 13 years. I tried all kinds of different diets (chronobio, Dukan...) and none of them worked long-term. Honestly, I was really starting to think it was hopeless.

Then I came across one of Jérémy's videos by chance. I liked his approach and decided to start working with him. Thanks to his method, his advice filled with common sense and kindness, I have now lost 10 kg in 5 months, and I've become more toned and built more muscle! I'm back to the weight I was before my first pregnancy, and what's incredible is that I got there without any real frustration. I'm transforming in a lasting and peaceful way. I'm so grateful for all of this.

Thank you, Jérémy.

After trying several programs to get back in shape, I wasn't getting results and, inevitably, I gave up.

I came across Jérémy's website while doing some research, a bit by chance, and I really liked his approach: no diet, no miracle pill, just a science-based method. Despite my apprehension about starting online coaching, I plucked up the courage to book a call with Jérémy. I still wasn't completely sure, but it was going to be the best decision I could make!

I learned a tremendous amount about nutrition and grew to love strength training. After 1 year of coaching, I'm truly very proud of my journey and of my physical AND mental transformation.

Thank you, Jérémy, and your whole team, for your kindness, for this high-quality support, for all the powerful tools you made available, and for everything you taught me.

Despite having a varied athletic background, I was no longer making progress after a difficult ordeal and the effects of menopause. I started coaching in May 2025, I weighed 59kg, and thanks to your method, I lost 11kg of fat mass in 6 months. I also had more difficult moments, moments of doubt, I even wanted to give up, but I kept going.

I understood that progress is built on strength training, recovery, and listening to your body rather than intense cardio and restriction.

Jérémy taught me to look at my body with kindness, to stop being in constant compensation mode, and to understand that making progress is not about punishing yourself, but about building something sustainable with patience above all, and balance. Jérémy also taught me that in nutrition, everything is about balance, consistency, and trusting the process. That you do not make progress by always trying to do more.

I also appreciate his vision of sport, based on health, balance, progress, and respect for the body.

Thank you for your kindness, your listening, and for helping me become the best version of myself.

A revelation! Jérémy Loreau helped me achieve remarkable weight loss in 3 months while keeping a toned body.

I was aiming to lose 4 kg and I lost 8. His training, along with the daily food log, helped me become aware of the calorie intake of our foods and meals, all based on scientific facts.

The highly individualized strength training helps me maintain my strength, and I don't feel any fatigue. I can keep enjoying my sports activities.

I finally feel free of my insecurities, and thanks to him and his team, who are very present and supportive, I can only recommend him 200%.

Thank you so much for everything and for this clarity that you learn over time. You have to experience it!

I've done many fitness programs, on my own and with coaches who promised support that, in the end, wasn't really there... as well as many diets and nutrition reset plans with dietitians...

This time, I truly found the program that's right for me. Jérémy and his team are very supportive. It's a program that isn't restrictive or exclusionary at all, but it really helps you understand the importance of the nutrition and physical activity combo, and how metabolism works. Of course, it takes a bit of discipline, but in the end, they're just good habits to build and apply.

I'm thrilled with the result, thrilled with the support, they're very responsive and give excellent advice. I'm 45 years old and I recommend it!

Of course, premium coaching may seem costly at first, but it's a lasting and worthwhile investment, the goal really is to help you become independent quickly.

It was the impact of menopause on my weight and on my mental health that pushed me to start coaching with Jérémy.

It’s been 2 years now, and I feel better than ever in my body. I’ve achieved results I never thought were possible, and Jérémy’s coaching has fundamentally changed the way I eat.

I’ve lost 10 kgs and I’ve never been hungry. I’m more muscular than I was at 30 and in great shape. But above all, I’ve embraced the power of small steps, of those habits that, repeated every day, make it possible to achieve remarkable results.

Jérémy adapts and offers us tailored exercises, updating them with a more difficult version so we can keep progressing, always with enjoyment. He teaches us to let go of guilt when we make exceptions, because it doesn’t change the trajectory. He is surrounded by a professional and friendly team, just like him. And he has built a supportive community that is truly a pleasure to be part of. You see incredible transformations there!

My decision to get support from him was one of the best I’ve made in recent years. It’s worth accepting the investment in yourself, you discover potential you never knew you had, and you come out stronger both physically and mentally. Thank you again, Jérémy!

Gina is a sensitive, kind, available, and professional coach, just like Jeremy. As for the "concrete" results, I lost 10 kg in about 5 to 6 months with the program despite menopause, hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) that wasn't really stabilized, and suspected lipedema. I managed to start enjoying being active, even though I thought I was completely at odds with any form of sport. My relationship with food changed too, less emotional and more mindful. Signing up for this program was one of the best decisions of my life.

10 months ago, I joined Jérémy's program feeling deeply exhausted, both physically and mentally, with the sense that I'd tried everything without ever being able to stick with it over time.

Living with moderate obesity, I tried different methods, diets, fasting, and even electrostimulation, but I always ended up giving up, with more frustration, more guilt, and extra weight gained.

The real wake-up call came when I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea: my weight gain was no longer just about my appearance or my self-esteem, but also about my health.

With Jérémy, I learned that I could make progress without being perfect, that a transformation journey is not linear, that some periods can be difficult, and that I can slow down or slip up sometimes, without questioning everything.

Today, after 10 months, I've lost 13 kilos: I'm fitting into clothes I couldn't wear anymore, I feel physically stronger, and my workouts are more consistent. A tendonitis I'd been dealing with in my knee has also eased up. :)

The biggest change is this: my relationship with myself and with food. I think I feel more at peace. I accept more difficult moments without feeling guilty, then I refocus on the goal. With Jérémy, I'm building a life balance I can sustain over time.

Over the months, Jérémy has taken a deeply human, kind, and realistic approach: he supports me without judgment, without pressure, while taking my constraints and real life into account, with all its ups and downs. He taught me that I don't have to be perfect, and to accept myself as I am.

Jérémy, I sincerely want to thank you for your support, your listening ear, and all the positive energy you share through the Tribe.

Hello, I'm 52 years old, and I had been struggling for more than 5 years trying to lose weight. I was exhausting myself doing cardio, Pilates, basically trying a bit of everything, and when it came to food, I thought I was eating well.

Nothing worked, neither my weight nor my shape was changing.

I was starting to tell myself that it was simply too late, that menopause would stop me from getting my old body back, until the day I became interested in Jérémy's profile on social media and took the leap. I booked a phone call with him, and on April 2, 2026, we became a team even though we were thousands of miles apart. I immediately got access to his website, which is a true goldmine of information for relearning how to eat and unlearning all the common misconceptions.

I finally understood my mistakes and changed my habits, and within the very first weeks, my body started to change. The strength training programs are clear and adapt to your schedule, no more endless cardio. He is always very available, encouraging, and adapts our program based on our progress.

Having a coach for both training and nutrition really changes everything.

I highly recommend him to anyone who is fed up with yo-yo dieting, fed up with making efforts for nothing, because his method really works.

A difference of about 10 kg (weight loss) and a more toned physique.

Not everything was perfect. Sometimes, I didn’t follow the program, and Jérémy helped me let go of the guilt. Those moments are part of the process, what matters is doing your best and sticking with it. Sometimes, I felt like it was pointless, then I looked at the results. I was proud of myself. Other times, I was extremely consistent and it was absolutely on fire.

Before Jérémy, my body was a real obstacle and I didn’t understand why my weight was going up even though “I wasn’t eating that badly.”

After Jérémy, I understood: eating healthy is not the same as fat loss. There are so many factors to take into account, and I learned them by his side.

The real wake-up call? Physically, I was a little chubby, but my fat is distributed fairly well. To me, I wasn’t at the stage of the disease that is obesity. So I thought I was fine. Going through this transformation was just a way to accept my image in the eyes of others.

Then, as I worked with Jérémy, I understood: fat loss, in my case, is a matter of health, not just aesthetics. My goal changed, and so did my mindset. Being able to make informed choices is priceless.

Thank you for everything.

Looking for a fitness and nutrition coach for women, I came across Jérémy’s website a bit by chance, and I read it from top to bottom. Won over by Jérémy’s information and approach, I decided to go for it.

Here is my feedback on the experience...

As soon as I signed up, I got access to an extremely well-designed website packed with high-quality information. Already having quite a bit of knowledge about fitness and nutrition, I can assure you that both the quality of the information and the amount of information provided are truly impressive.

Nothing is left to chance. You understand everything, absolutely everything. You know how and why you're doing things, it's truly incredible to have so much information of such high quality.

On top of that, Jérémy’s follow-up is incredibly high quality, your training program is tailored to you and your body type, nothing is left to chance. We are in contact with him whenever we want, and he answers all our questions. The follow-up is simply incredible. For me, his coaching truly adapts to you and your personal needs, we are not just a number among many others.

As for me, I’ve already lost a pants size, so yes, it works! But beyond the aesthetic aspect, there is also an inner transformation happening... regained self-confidence, etc.

And the little cherry on top, you join a supportive community that regularly shares its doubts, its successes, and its little life moments.

I can only recommend Jeremy as a coach. You can go for it with your eyes closed. A huge THANK YOU to the team for everything they do every day.

The best decision I made in 2025, and probably in the last 5 years, was starting coaching with Jérémy Loreau.

32 kg gone in 10 months, without medication, miracle products, or surgery.

An intelligent method, a strong community, help when needed, and the method that got me exercising again at 54, with two damaged knees and a tired heart, is perfectly suited to me. I work out at home, with 3 sessions using simple equipment, and I can see the progress, without getting out of breath or bored.

I've been coached by Jérémy since January, and it's just incredible. The results I've achieved in less than 3 months are unbelievable to me.

For several years, I couldn't lose weight or transform my body, and despite my efforts, the pounds kept piling on.

Now I've finally broken that vicious cycle and reached a weight I didn't even dare hope for. On top of that, I learned how to build sports routines that do me a lot of good mentally and don't require too much time or too much pain in the effort. I am sincerely delighted with my program with Jérémy.

With him, the difference is that the program is personalized and targeted. It changes everything. I recommend him.

Try it, you don't have much to lose, tell yourself this is the last program you'll try.

Thanks again, Jérémy.

A wonderful tailored experience and a transformation that went beyond my expectations! I lost almost 10 kilos in 6/7 months without ever feeling like I was making a huge effort.

No frustration, no forbidden foods (yes, yes, fries, raclette, etc., are absolutely allowed), I "just" learned how to properly manage my own energy budgets, calorie intake but also calorie expenditure (no more taking the car for every little thing!), based on my age, lifestyle, and body type.

The training provided is outstanding, and the Championnes community is incredibly freeing and guilt-relieving, always in a good mood. And Gina, my coach, supported me like a princess, always listening, patient, and taking great care of me... A gem ;-)

I gained confidence in my body, and today I feel much more independent when it comes to managing my weight and my health.

Unlike weight-loss programs based on meal boxes (commejaime, etc.), Jérémy makes sure you no longer need him, and in my opinion that's even more important than the number on the scale. Without a doubt, the best investment I've ever made for myself and my health!

Since August 2024, I’ve been coached by Jérémy Loreau, and it has been a real revelation. Before meeting him, I spent two years stuck despite the help of nutritionists and other fitness coaches. I was even told that as I was approaching 40, I had to accept it: my body would never change again.

Jérémy proved otherwise. By following his advice and his method, I finally saw real results where everyone else had failed.

The journey isn’t always linear: I had moments of doubt, periods when my weight stalled, or when I struggled to see my own progress in the mirror. But Jérémy was always there to explain how the body and nutrition work. Understanding what you’re doing changes your whole approach.

Today, my physical goal is within sight, but it’s my mindset that has changed the most. I regained my confidence. I no longer let the numbers get me down. I’ve become positive, and I don’t give up anymore.

If you think it’s “too late” or that you’ve tried everything, trust Jérémy. He doesn’t just give you a program, he teaches you how to succeed.

Finally, a truly personalized program! As for me, I was supported by Gina, an incredibly responsive coach with XXL kindness and warmth, who always tries to find tips, advice, or encouraging words! She went through exactly the same stages, felt the same doubts, celebrated the same small and big victories, and her experience is invaluable. She explains everything gently to help each person make progress. The "training" is very informative but also very accessible, in fact, you need to go back to the basics and take your time to absorb the essential concepts, and Jérémy and Gina are constantly there whenever questions come up. 2 words are now rooted in my life: ROUTINE and PATIENCE because they are the keys to succeeding with this program. That's why it's 5 stars!

I chose to start coaching after gradual weight gain that was worrying me. Despite that, the professionals I saw did not take me seriously, since my BMI was considered "normal." I was often told that "after 40, that's completely common." And yet, deep down, I knew something was wrong. I'm one of those people who prefer to listen to their own feelings rather than blindly trust conventional narratives.

That is where Jérémy made all the difference. He was the only one who truly listened to me, understood what I was going through, and supported me without judgment. He knew how to adapt his coaching to my needs, taking my physical limitations into account, especially those related to a herniated disc.

Thanks to him, I discovered that a so-called "healthy" diet is not necessarily a diet that is right for you. I learned to better understand my nutritional intake, not through restriction, but in order to nourish my body in a more accurate and balanced way.

I also got back into training with enjoyment, through personalized workouts that respect my pace and help me make progress without pain.

Today, Jérémy is part of my daily life. His advice and his words help me stay the course, remain kind to myself, and recenter after a slipup or an unexpected event, without guilt.

I clearly understood that what matters most is not a number on the scale, but the sense of well-being you feel every day: more energy, more confidence, more harmony. Taking care of yourself is a journey, not a destination, and every step counts.

Thank you so much, Jérémy, for your precious support, your patience, and your presence. I am deeply grateful to you.

I’m very happy to have met Jeremy: he’s a very caring coach who helped me become my best self... I only wish I had met him sooner. Beyond a method, it’s a philosophy of life. It works, the physical results are there, and you make peace with food... In short, all good.

I had never worked with a coach before reaching out to Jérémy, 6 months ago, after two back-to-back pregnancies, a lot of weight gained and then lost very quickly, but with major muscle loss, and along with that my self-esteem, my confidence, my physical reflection, and my judgment of this body, which was obviously only bringing to light a deeper inner unhappiness that had settled in and surely intensified over the years, a kind of abandonment of myself. One morning, crying as I looked at myself, that was the wake-up moment. I searched online for "best sports coach comparison", I saw Jérémy Loreau, and intuition made me choose... I immediately visited his website and then.... the before-and-after photos, come on, I took my chance, I went for it. He opened his heart to me, and I really do mean heart, because he is someone who will give to you until you know how to find your way again by yourself. Putting into words what has happened inside me since I started this journey feels impossible, it's so deep, and every day I keep discovering a little more about myself, about true self-love, the kind that does not judge, that observes with complete neutrality and carries us toward the freedom to Be. I am talking here about an inner transformation more than a physical one. Here is a glimpse of what coaching with Jérémy can bring you, the opportunity to look deep within yourself, and to strengthen or rebuild your foundations, in short, to give birth to a new version of yourself, stronger than ever, with the tools to be autonomous FOR LIFE.

I dreamed of it, and Jérémy made it happen!

How can I describe the incredible life-changing experience of meeting Jérémy, a coach who is educational, kind, and always listening?
The ideal coach, really!

I’ve never exactly been naturally slim, but I have to admit I really went off track in recent years, gaining 20 kg in 5 years without managing to turn things around.
Despite my various attempts, cardio, diet support, EMS electrostimulation classes, and even "good resolutions", none of them worked.
So in the end, I had more or less resigned myself and accepted it: it was too late to change, and I would just live with the consequences of letting myself go for the rest of my life, dissatisfied...

Then, this summer, came the wake-up moment: I couldn’t keep up with my sons and my husband or fully enjoy family activities.
Determined to change the course of things and stop suffering through it without reacting, I clearly identified what I needed: support from someone able to help me both nutritionally and physically.

So I typed "sports and nutrition coach" into my browser’s search bar and happened to come across Jérémy’s website, which both intrigued and captivated me.
The transformations shown felt almost unreal to me, real or fake?
After some hesitation, I finally took the leap and clicked "APPLY" to schedule my intro video call.
And I’m really glad I did!

Today, almost 2 months later, I can now say that applying was the best decision I’ve made to take care of myself and my health for the rest of my life.

Far from cookie-cutter programs and conventional wisdom that people follow without thinking, Jérémy’s coaching is serious, supportive guidance that puts the emphasis on learning day after day, the program starts with educational sessions/videos covering the basics of nutrition and physiology, and where you become the driver of your physical transformation, but also your mental transformation.

Understanding what you’re doing and why you’re doing it gives meaning to the process and helps you move forward with peace of mind.

Little by little, it all adds up!
You don’t need to be a high-level athlete or an amazing cook.
It’s possible to start humbly, to avoid getting discouraged by unreachable goals, and then improve a little every day.
Jérémy adapts to each woman’s goals and constraints without ever judging.
He’s an amazing coach, always full of good advice, who guides each woman at her own pace toward the best version of herself.
His teaching style, his support, and his ultra-complete dedicated app combining nutrition tracking, workouts, measurable progress, but also visual progress, evaluation photos, are the keys to success.
I’ve come farther in 2 months than in several years of effort without lasting results.

A huge thank you to you, Jérémy, for helping me regain confidence in myself, for helping me understand that nothing is ever truly lost, and that through learning, consistency in imperfection, and tailored, supportive guidance, with a great coach and his team, it’s possible to become "1% better every day" by taking charge of your well-being and your health, today and for the future!

I reached out to Jérémy after gaining weight following a thyroidectomy, combined with the onset of menopause. I was stuck in limiting beliefs, convinced, after reading many testimonials from women in my situation, that it was almost impossible to lose weight after that kind of surgery and with menopause.

I felt uncomfortable in my body and unable to seriously take control again. Thanks to Jérémy, I learned how to use the app intelligently and manage my calories and macros day to day. I realized just how much of a calorie surplus I was in without even noticing it. I wasn’t eating that much, and yet my little handfuls of hazelnuts were ruining all my efforts.

Today, I enjoy going to the gym to build muscle and seeing the results come in. Jérémy is a motivating, kind coach who is always there to support and encourage. In barely one month, I’ve already lost 4 kilos! I feel so much better, fitter, and motivated to go all the way and get back to a body I feel good in.

A huge thank you to you, Jérémy, for your support and your energy!

Jérémy Loreau is an EXCEPTIONAL coach whom I strongly recommend to all women who want to regain their health, their energy, a body they feel good and strong in, but also a mindset that will allow them to build the life they want, with the place they aspire to, in all its dimensions, whatever their age.

When I contacted Jérémy a little over 5 months ago, I was exhausted and had no longer been able, for years, for decades... to balance my professional life and taking care of myself. I had become sedentary even though I fundamentally need to move, and always have, while respecting my health.

Menopause and health issues had quickly made the imbalance worse, and a certain kind of poor consumption too. I was sinking. I needed the presence of someone highly competent, highly precise, highly attentive, deeply genuine, and highly adaptable to bounce back, and I found that person in the jungle of offers flooding the internet. And I feel incredibly good now, in a lasting way, for the first time in almost 57 years. Because I learned how to balance my weeks in terms of nutrition, physical activity, and stress thanks to Jérémy's coaching.

For me, concretely, what is Jérémy's coaching?

  • Advanced nutrition education with a top-tier tech app that keeps evolving because Jérémy truly cares about the well-being of every woman he coaches. His deeply supportive presence and expertise allowed me to adapt and become genuinely stronger in just 5 months because I now know how to handle every possibility while respecting my TRULY individualized nutrition guidelines, with... freedom.
  • Advanced education and a program focused on strength training, with every adaptation imaginable, whether you train at home or in a gym, whether you're a beginner or not, whether you want to improve your athletic performance or rediscover the joy of moving, whether you're overweight or not.
  • Access to tasty yet healthy recipes, aligned with every profile (omnivore, vegetarian, vegan) and with the personal goals of each woman being coached.
  • EXCEPTIONAL personal follow-up across nutrition, training, mindset, and emotional well-being, taking into account every starting situation, whether you have a lot of weight to lose or much less, like me, whether your health situation is difficult or less difficult, taking life's ups and downs into account, we all have them, with so much gentleness, accuracy, wisdom, AND precision.

Jérémy, and his whole team, allowed me to take the reins of my energy for the first time in my life. I will always be sincerely grateful to them, and I encourage you to give yourself this extraordinary experience.

Exceptionally skilled HUMAN BEINGS, 100% committed to you, with an authentic voice, who don't sell you a dream but offer you extraordinary coaching, toward a life force and freedom that, like me before, maybe even you yourself, would not imagine possible in this world.

Jérémy, and your whole team, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
